Nick Chubb

Posted: 11/15/2013 9:55 PM

Nick Chubb

I don't know how many yards the young man will finish with, but he had 34 on 11 carries at the half and 72 on 19 carries after 3.
Before we started shuffling in the second team, he had 11 yards on 8 carries.
I still believe he is a very good running back, but as I had stated, he has never played against a team that can hit and fight off blocks.

Re: Nick Chubb

The 4th best running back on the field tonight after Weems, Swinney, and Brown. Hope he does better at UGA. I am sure he will with better blocking.

RB #16 from Troup

Is huge, If he ran as hard as Chubb, he would be one of the top Rbs in Ga.

Re: Nick Chubb

I was kind of surprised that Cedartown won the toss and then deferred.  You'd think they would want to get the opening kick and use Chubb to try to grind out a score, take some time off the clock.  But no...they kick off, we run it back for a TD.  They fumble the kickoff, we score.  Then they go 3 and out without Chubb touching the ball and we score again.  It was 21-0 Creek before Chubb ever touched the ball.  I found that hard to believe.

went to game...

I'm not from either school, just wanted to see Sandy Creek for 1st time and also see Chubb. Creek's offense is for real as most know. #24 Swinney is super. 4Tds in 1st qt, 5 at the half. Qb very accurate.Creeks's Oline is huge and athletic. Don't see anybody beating them, but you never know...Chubb is a good back, reminds me a lot of Washaun Ealey. Would love to see him behind Creek's Oline...

I had a friend text me after the game and ask about him. I said the same thing. 4th best at the battlefield tonight. Nowhere near the burst of Swinney and Weims. On one series Cedartown had 5 tries inside the 5 and could not get it in the end zone. Of course he was getting no help at all. Cedartown D-line got thrown around like stuffed animals all night long.

Also very happy for Maceo Brown. When he gets a chance to touch the ball, good things happen.

Re: Nick Chubb

I know Sandy is a great team. Im not from Cedartown but you can't judge Chubb by his performance against a D Fense like Creeks, His O line does the best they can. Im sure from the games i have seen him play that he is a real college running back.

Re: Nick Chubb

I just want to say, taking nothing away from any player. look at Chubb's line came coaching compared to Sandy Creeks. Major difference! Chubb will be fine at UGA. Dawg for life talking here! But he will be fine!

You put Chubb on Sandy Creeks roster unheard of #'s.

Re: Nick Chubb

24 had 110 yards on his 4 td's and 27 had 103 on his 3 td's... That just on the td's they had , not total yards...
It don't matter who we play... Just win or go home...

Re: Nick Chubb

Not saying he isn't a college back, but I'm saying his numbers are inflated because he has never played anyone. I've seen his games and defenders whiff and arm tackle because they are scared of making contact with him. He would still be D1 but not with those numbers in region 5. Mikell Lands-Davis ran for 209 against Creek by the way.

Re: Nick Chubb

Lands-Davis had around 40 carries tonight against Dalton. Had a couple runs around 30 yards a piece. Think he ended the night around 190-200. He has the size and speed but dances around too much for my taste. Would like to see him run somebody over.

*Edited to note Lands-Davis finished with 176 yards on 38 carries*

Re: Nick Chubb

Why don't y'all ask sandy creeks head coach what kind of back chubb is . He said out if his mouth chubb is the best high school RB he has ever seen... He coached him at rising sr bowl last year.. Chubb dominates with no O Line imagine what he would do if he has y'all's ! That's the difference in your 2 backs stats and his tonight!

Re: Nick Chubb

Once again. Chubb has no line. Just look at his line compared to S.C.'s no comparison.
