Greetings from a Nole

Greetings from a Nole

I went to the game last night to cheer on my Noles. NIU came to play and actually made a game of it but basically got outmanned and didn't get the breaks near the end.

I gotta say the NIU crowd was out in force and really pumped up for the game. I love the Huskie headdresses. Everytime the camera cut to the NIU section they were dancing and grooving all game long. Any NIU folks that were able to make it to South Florida got lucky with nice weather and a fantastic party.

This was NIU's first OB appearance. It was FSU's 9th or 10th. We appreciate what it took for you guys to make it this far. Any who comes on your board and crows does not represent the vast majority of FSU fans. Congratulations on a great season and good luck in 2013.

Yeah, congrats on making the bowl game. Honestly, I wasn't too thrilled having y'all as our opponent since it's kind of a lose-lose situation for us. We gain nothing if we win and we are a joke if we lose. NIU never really had a chance. Our offense was extremely inefficient in the first half and we let them stay in the game until the 4th. EJ had damn near 300 yards passing really late in the first half and we only had 7 points....and that came off a 60 yard run by our Lonnie Pryor, our FB, who outran NIU's secondary. The talent difference between the two teams wasn't even fair, from team size to team speed...FSU was vastly superior and NIU did a good job of staying in the game as long as they could. The whole game you were just waiting for FSU to start putting points up and pulling away. It was inevitable and you could tell in the first half. NIU gave it their all and showed a lot of heart, with the exception of Jordan Lynch....he looked like he was playing scared and obviously regretted the comments he made.

Don't know if Lynch was playing scared. Rather his protection collapsed quickly and when he was flushed the pursuit didn't let him get set. I thought the kid hung tough. I don't take much stock in the comments. They all talk trash at that age.

Greeting from another Seminole. Gentlemen, I was very impressed with your team and especially with your fans. Your teams and fans REPRESENTED!!! It reminded me of us back in the late 70's. When opposing fans chanted FS who?? Anyway, congradulations!!! All the best in 2013.
