makes this whole thing even weirder ... ESPN is saying that he really didn't have anything to do with the creation of the fake girlfriend in THIS article.
Granted, in THIS article they attribute some quotes to teammates who say they questioned the whole thing from the start and that he sort of played along when news of her death turned into a big press event.Just freakin' strange all-around.
