ASU
Looks like they are going to sell their souls to Petrino.

Re: ASU
Petrino is a huge pick up for them! To be honest, I wish we were getting him as our head coach.

Re: ASU
ASU can have that scumbag! But if he goes there its because no one else wants him and his baggage. Its literally last resort for that clown.

Re: ASU
They were so upset over the one and done coach. I am kinda surprised. Unless they think he is so radioactive that he could be their Larry Blakney-Good coach that others won't poach because of scandal.

Re: ASU
Why does everyone think Pertrino is a scumbag? He had an affair with an intern, it's not like he was caught showering with little boys in the locker room. He's a good coach, and they're likely to have an edge recruiting with a name like that, not to mention the new field-house they're building.

Re: ASU
He is a good coach...my issue is what if they win big again, will they lose him after one year. Can the fan base take that? Its risky, but there is part of me that likes the move. We have never taken much risk at MT. So we shall see.

RE: ASU (1 vote)
ASU is making a name for themselves on their fundamentals of building a football team. You think they would have learned the first time.
Do you think they'll let Bobby ride that motorcycle out of the tunnel now instead of that wolf?

Re: ASU
Apparently you forgot he up and left his Atlanta Falcons team in the middle of the night.

RE: ASU
So it'll be three in a row for them. Freeze was there two years, but only one as heqd coach. Sheesh. To me, that's not how you build a program.

What is it about people in Arkansas that think sex with an intern is fair game and okay?

RE: ASU
I think it'll only hurt with recruits whose parents are involved with recruiting. If a player is looking for a good coach/system, they only have to look at how Arkansas fell apart this season. I don't like the guy, but he'll be successful at ASU.

Re: ASU
As long as both parties are over the age of 18 and consenting, then I really don't care who does who.

Re: ASU
Again, the issue was not infidelity, he hired his mistress over other qualified candidates. Don't forget, asu is in the same state as UA. The State of Arkansas may have an issue with rehiring him.

RE: ASU
I'm not sure why they would hire a guy that will be gone in a year after they've had two in a row.

Re: ASU
From the chatter on their board, it looks like ASU offered Petrino last night and he turned it down, and as of now there is no new offer. http://www.arkst.com/board/index.php?topic=57162.0

RE: ASU
Tuberville left Texas Tech for Cincy due to him hating the AD. Maybe good ole Bobby is aiming for a better gig. It's just like him to get one team on the hook only to use that as leverage to get something better. He's a non committed jacka$$. Always has been. Minus the infidelity which is actually telling of his character, he has always bolted when the mood suited him. He really had no reason to leave UL. However, his ego and greed took over and his departure screwed UL in the ground. I don't even think he talked to the players to tell them to their face. He just left.
Also, a buddy of mine who played for the Razorbacks and is in the know there said that the motorcycle deal was a cover up. How did Petrino end up with so much face damage and the girl didn't get a scratch on her? Answer... Her boyfriend found out about their relationship, confronted him and kicked the living crap out of him. It kinda explains a lot about the time difference and the 2 arriving to the hospital at separate times not to mention the Trooper's activities. Also, it's been said that the boyfriend leaked the relationship and hospital info right after the confrontation. None of this means anything but I found it to be interesting.
