Did anyone notice that they were using the MT block logo, sans the snorting horse, at the game last night ?

Is there a rebranding to go along with our move to Coosa ?

What logo do you mean?  You got a picture of it? 

I hope to goodness they redo a few things like this.  Like many I still can't figure how we wound up with a winged horse...  All its missing is a horn on its nose.

Kinda hope not as I have it tattooed on my arm, but if I need to get another one on the other arm, then so be it.

By any chance are you "TattooedBlue" from the Delphi board from about 100 years ago?

The new press conference wall is without the my little pony as well. I think they are gonna go just MT for the future. Makes a ton of sense. They have to redo the field if the SBC logo is going off. If that happens, might as well have just the MT on there. Would look way better.

 

If I'm not mistaken, we are getting new turf for next year, anyways.

No, that wasnt me.  I honestly cant remember what my name was on there.  I think maybe mtsufan5000.

I can see where you're coming from. I think a logo that has too much detail (like the pegasus) doesn't look as good or prominent.

I like it, sometimes the plain ones are more likeable and easier to market, I'd think.

Agreed with Kellen.  As a logo designer, I don't care for the Pegasus version of the logo that much.  It looks like a Division III school logo.  With this one, you have a classy identity that isn't overpowered or cluttered up by an unnecessary graphic.  I love the change.

Next step:  Make a "Blue Raider" something other than Lightning.

In a related note, the women's basketball magnet also doesn't have the Pegasus either.

Question: I would assume you know, but do people who don't like the pegasus and lightning even know the story behind it? Cause i do and i think it is a neat story and something that is unique unlike a tiger, trojan, anything and every school has it.
