Wow. We are in Coosa.

Conference USA reacted quickly to loss of ECU and Tulane, adding Middle Tennessee State this morning. Will have a story online shortly.

Wow, I wasn't expecting this to happen so fast. I trust our AD, but I just hope this doesn't turn out to be a bad decision.

Before everyone says we shouldn't have done it - you know WKU or FAU would have if we didn't. This will be a shot in the arm for the athletic department as far as donations and recruiting.

Now let's just cross our fingers that Boise and SDSU stay in the Big East, and USM/Marshall don't get swept up.

If this is true I will be very upset. I like the Sun Belt and our conference mates. CUSA is a crap conference with even crappier teams. I don't care about the money and bowls they offer now. Because with the crap in that conference, they will lose said money and bowls. The Sun Belt is a stable conference and was just starting to get respect. Screw CUSA.

If we had stayed and WKU or someone else had gone to CUSA I'd be nervous as hell about what would happen to the Sunbelt. If the CUSA gets raided for another school or two, CUSA can add it's pick of the Sunbelt. We'll end up in either a better conference, or the hybrid of Sunbelt and CUSA we all wanted to see anyway. Also we're 2-0 in against our last two CUSA BBall opponents!

Not sure how I feel about this. On one hand it is a bigger "name" conference and has some bells and whistles in bowl games and better TV package. The downside is it seems to be a revolving door as far as membership goes. After the dust settles and it resembles a slightly better (debatable) Sun Belt do the bells and whistles go away as contracts expire. I guess only time will tell.
Go Blue Raiders!

I think we should just all relax...who knows what will happen over the next few years.   We need to just grow our program regardless of conference.

Seems like every conference is a revolving door, but since its the BCS conferences raiding the CUSA it good to be where they go to raid, so maybe in a few years the Blue Raiders will be raided into one of them.

Awesome news! We were their first pick. If we had said no, then WKU or ULL would have went and Benson would have added another 'who is that' school.

Agree or disagree with the move, the best thing to do is make the most of the move and win that conference.

There are two teams I care deeply about. #1 - My MTSU Blue Raiders. #2 - My Auburn Tigers. When it's gameday for either team, it's a happy day for me.

I really hope WKU gets the next invite; our football rivalry seemed like it just started to get going.

I think this is going to end up becoming the cusa sbc hybrid eventually. Usm's 0-12 season hurts so they will be around a while.

Hope WKU follows, not so much Troy. MT will make new rivalries in the CUSA but the WKU rivalry means more in all sports, FB, MBB, WBB, Baseball ect. Its 100 miles of hate.

Not just football, but both men's and women's hoops. Without us and WKU, Sun Belt crumbles.
