Re: Craig Allen

Saw a tweet that he is at Vanderbilt with some movement and feeling in arms and legs. Hoping for the best.

He went down with an unspecificed head/neck injury late in the game. Play was stopped for 15 minutes or so and they brought an ambulance on the field and took him out. His mom rode with him according to the TV broadcast.

The only update I've seen is that he had been taken to Vanderbilt hospital and had feeling in all of his extremities.

That was a scary moment in the game, but there was one troy fan there who was excited to see one less Blue Raider able to defend his team. That guy has a special place waiting for him and I'm glad I was able to let him know exactly how I feel about him.

I'm glad you did. That says a lot about a person if they're actively cheering for the injury of 20 year old kid. I'm not going to say that represents Troy at all, because most of their fans were extremely respectful during that situation, but screw that guy.

RE: Craig Allen

As I saw those players talking and celebrating while Craig was down, (I think it was #7 doing most of the celebrating) I quietly said to a fan next to me that Karma was gonna take over now. That was 2 plays before Byard's pick 6.

Re: Craig Allen

To be fair to #7, there was a drunk MT fan in the student section making even more of a scene shouting at him and the rest of the Troy team even while the trainers were bringing the backboard out.

The Troy fans (second row on the 50) that I saw were actually yelling at the MT fan to shut up and show some respect for the hurt player. Then, as the personnel were lifting Allen up onto the stretcher, those Tory fans were among the first to yell out encouragement including "We're praying for you #35!".

Nothing but class from the Troy fans that I saw. It was the MT fans acting like the fools.

We were in a box above the Troy fans, and almost all of them were standing solemnly while the whole scene unfolded.

I have said my share about Troy fans to be sure, but that display put them up a notch in my book. Very classy!

RE: Craig Allen

Well before they bought out the stretchers, #7 was chest bumping and doing celebration dances with 4 other Troy players. As he walked to the sideline, he looked at Craig who was down and then did his little celebration dance. That's why we were pissed off. We were up top and saw the whole deal happen. The guy who yelled out show some respect was Scary Raider who I was sitting about 20 ft from in 2hh. Maybe the other dude did as well but Scary Raider was pretty vocal to the Troy players as I heard him in my ear. All of us were vocal and pissed off up top.

#7 DB Chris Pickett can suck it IMO. He was the guy on that interception play who did what he did.

#7 Deon Anthony is the backup QB but there are 2 #7's on their team because of all the thugs they keep on their squad. I'm no fan of Pickett at all. Have fun sitting at Home this winter watching your Navy highlights. Troy = Jackass Thugs

To be clear. Troy fans were very classy. Some of the players on the team they follow, not so much.

I was sitting right next to Scary, so I heard him yell "Show some respect." But the Troy fans I am talking about were in 2H (the lower bowl).

Until the severity of an injury is known, it is common practice for players to celebrate a big hit that leaves an opponent down. #7 went on a little longer than what would be expected considering it appeared to be a serious injury with the number of personnel who ran onto the field. But his primary "taunting" was in response to the idiot MT fan on the front row of the lower student section. Had that fan shut up, #7 would have had no one to show off to.

One of the Pastors at FUMC mentioned Craig in the prayer requests this morning. I hope he's doing okay.
