What coach Marlin didn't say was the talent he spoke of is concentrated in about 3.254 of our players. But, they do all play hard fer' sure!

Again I will say that when we lost Colby and the transfer that didn't come the season was just about over---We have talent when they bring their B+ - A game with Long, EP, AMT, LaBumba, and Shepherd-----Future guys will be Wonk and Soto if they emerge as the marlin coaching system seems to have with the rest of the guys---Moore just plays very hard and smart but lacks the talent and size!!! Moss could have really helped at this time!!!

We need more talent.

Moorecajun posted elsewhere his concern over the transfers last year. From what I've read, seen and overheard, other than the 2 "malcontents" there were 3 others who shipped out.

One (Jackson) was due to lack of playing time and no big deal but the other two Colbey and Smith (who IMHO had a real future in a Cajun uni) left in connection with Johnson leaving and they hurt us. Additionally, we lost one of the malcontent's highly regarded brother who signed but later backed out and he may well have helped this season too.

As for Moss leaving after this season began, as we all know, love trumps all else but I'm not sure he would have been a factor this season especially if Colbey had stayed. 

Kevin Brown's injury certainly hurt. 

My personal observations have dropped off sharply this season for various reasons so maybe somebody like CajunsMike will chip in.

Still he for whatever reason lost five not counting a LOI renege'.

Never a good sign, never a sign IMO that a coach is the leader and hub of the program.  I cannot ever believe Marty, or Jesse, or even Robert Lee would lose five and a LOI in one season.

Really hope Marlin proves me wrong, I like my crow with just a little salt and pepper, but right now I am not looking for good wine to go with crow.

Pancake Thomas seems to be an average freshman.  Playing 6.7 minutes a game, and has an average 1.0 points a game.  I like what Wronkoski is doing vs that.

Of course they are 23-4 in a much stronger conference.

Of course losing so many players is not a good thing and the coach has the responsibility for it.  However,  that does not mean it will happen in the future and I don't expect it to be a problem following this season.   Coach Marlin had to start over this season and the record reflects that reality.  I am not at all surprised at the record considering we have a defensive three playing the four,  our No. 5 guy should be playing the 4 spot,  and the guy who would have been the top bench player missed almost the whole season.   Now let's see what type of players Shawn Forrest brings in here and if they can help turn this thing around.
