Cajuns win 92 to 72.   Great first half with 14 threes made and a 69 to 27 lead being built.   Terrible second half with no focus.  Too many layups given up,  too many fouls, too many close in shots missed in that half.   Shawn Long is key.  We have no inside backup behind him.

Shawn Long is good. Wished we could have seen the other fresh. But, we will be too young to win this year.

Still need to get a little better at the 2,3, & 4 IMO.

Any know why Josh Soto and Cornell Barnett were not dressed out?

Barnett had a concussion.

Soto has not been cleared by the NCAA as of yet.  Recall he is originally from Puerto Rico.    Maybe not all of the classes he took there before moving to Florida have been recognized by the NCAA.  Hopefully Barnett will be back soon.   We need him to back up Long.

Was at the game!!  Thought the freshmen stepped in well.  Especially Long!!  He is key to inside game!!  At one point you had four freshmen in a sophmore on the floor!!  Keep in mind u had young men out there that have never stepped foot on a college floor!!  Hitting 16 3's as a team was positive!!  Sloppy play in the 2nd half but I think Coach Marlin took off the press and let his younsters get some playing time!!  Long hit three 3's, Wronkowski and Moss had 2 a piece!!  Thats 7 of the 16 coming from freshmen in the first game!!  Maybe a sign of the future!!  Have a great day!!
