Heads Are Rolling

Heads Are Rolling

in the NFL today. Hope this doesn't set off a domino effect that could somehow reach our program.

I have heard the Oregon Coach's name mentioned for the nfl. Not sure if it s a cultural fit for Hud. On the other hand money would not be an issue over there.

HUD is not getting a big move up like Oregon. We could. Lose him due to other coaching moves to there though.

I'm probably just having an acute case of CDS but recall how Dooley got to Tennessee and the timing of that move.

I am far more concerned about conference driving him away than the coaching butterfly effect.

I'm not. I expect the conference thing will be resolved. Then too I'm not really expecting Hud to leave before his 3rd season is completed (if not later). However, a whole new set of coaching dominoes at this juncture is not a good thing.

I don't expect the NFL coaching changes to have any effect on us and most of the college game.    Some guys who were fired yesterday will have other NFL head jobs by the end of the week.  Just about all the other openings will go to NFL assistants.   Pro game is completely different than college and there is little overlap in today's world.

Agreed mike, but some major college coaches are candidates for a move to the NFL, and when that happens it opens up the colleges to change.  It is unlikely to effect Hud,but not so improbable as to have zero worry.  What happens if the Oregon coach moves up, and something opens up that Mullens is goo goo about?  After all he is now on the edge of the hot seat.

So here goes a series of job hopping.  Hope, and pray we are not collateral damage.

Yes, but the job at Syracuse is now open.  Again potential for collateral damage.

Heat, do we need to hear this same thing on every one? It's a given.......none of us want to lose Hud. If it's meant to be, it will be.

RE: Heads Are Rolling

Sorry to be repetitive.  You see I do not believe in fate.  I am quite certain there are an infinite number of alternate possibilities to every act, even parallel universes if you will.  So I am always open to any possible outcome in my particular time/space circumstance.

By your comments perhaps we should simply accept what comes our way with no effort to alter it, after all you seem to be a big Doris Day fan Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be).

Ok, Ok I am just teasing, I know you constantly fight fate.
