Brett Baer gets left out again

The finalists for the Lou Groza Placekicker award have been named, and, again, Brett Baer has been left out. Dustin Hopkins (Florida State), Cairo Santos (Tulane) and Caleb Sturgis (Florida) are having good seasons, but it's tough having the career field goal percentage leader not considered to be one of the best place kickers.

Well maybe they will get an award for a tri kicker---FGs, punting, on-side kicking and Touch backs-----unfortunately this last category has been a problem for Brett!!!

That's bulshit! How can Toolame's kicker get on that list? They don't score enough or him to count.

You could probably say he does most of their scoring for them. He's 20-20 on field goals this season, & 24-25 extra points. Brett is 16-19 & 37-39.

I can only guess that the voters liked accuracy more than points. Santos won the award with 21-21 field goals and 26-27 extra points, 89 total points. Hopkins accounted for 133 of FSU's points, Sturgis 101.
