Probably a good thing honestly.  They look to be the strongest of all of the incoming teams.

We can always use some strength of schedule help because of the BE bias, I was looking forward to seeing UCF at the Nip! U of L game is going to be rocking!

Instead of BSU & SDSU we will play SMU and Temple instead.

A fair point.
UCF is coming off a 10 win season and a Bowl win.

The best thing about it I can see is the BE schedule is pretty balanced (for UC).
Arguably the two toughest games (RU&UL) one is at home the other on the road.
One game in Texas, the other Texas team coming to Cincy.
After RU the other 3 BE road games are winnable.
Not saying they are pushovers, but winnable.

I think we are primed for a major push this year.  This year, I thought was a rebuild with all the difficulty on the d-line, rb, qb, and lb.  We should be set on the offensive side of the ball.  We return everyone on the offensive line. Unless a new scheme screws this up, this point alone will effectively contribute to a winning record.  In addition, we return a qb that is more than serviceable.  I really liked what I saw from Buckley and 27 to fill in for Winn.  I know Winn was a beast and I am understating his effectiveness, but the younger guys certainly have some upside.  Lastly, we have 4 year starter McClung back along with some highly ranked sophomores.  Our achilles heel will be the d-line.  We have strength and depth at lb with luc replacing Bomar, and the dbs should be fine.  We have more coming back on defense than we did in 09.  I am psyched for the season.  The only wildcard is coaching. Sometimes it takes a coaching staff time to learn his players strengths.

Rutgers is losing some major playmakers on the defensive side of the ball.  No more Greene or Beuharnis or the guy in the secondary.  They still have a turnover machine at qb and lose their tailback.  I think Louisville is beatable at our place.  Now that would be fun.  We should be able to handle USF but I worry a little about SMU after their beatdown of Fresno in the bowl.  It should be another fun season

This schedule with our returning players has got me psyched! Yes, the UL game will be rocking, but I like the two B1G games- would love to sweep that slate! So glad we got Kay for another season. C'mon TT, get em going!

We had to give up Boise State, but aside from UCF, SMU makes for a good home game, an old SWC member with June Jones at the controls..Let's see what the Bearcat defense can do.

i hope june jones smu program isn't dirty like his hawaii program was.

about the only thing i will ever agree with minter on was his comment that "this was a DISGRACE" after a game out there in hawaii. and then june jones tried to pass the buck and say they did nothing wrong, cincinnati started all the problems.

what a clown jones was.

Yep, one of the uglier games in recent memory. Say what you will about BK, he rallied the guys from a deficit and took care of business the second time around out there.
