With RU and UL losing today it looks like we have a shot at another shared conference title.  We need UL to beat RU next week and then we need to take care of business against UConn. A BCS bowl is probably out of the shot but I'll take 4 BE championships in 5 years!

But that's impossible.  With Charlie Strong taking Louisville to the Promised Land, and with their Texas-sized fan base and that super duper stadium that has NO empty seats, there's no way Louisville won't be the champion every single year.

They actually have a shot at being 3rd place behind UC right now.  Bwhahaahaahahahahaaaa.

Looks like that RU/UL game is a win/win next week for us then.

If UL wins we get a BE Championship.  If RU wins we finish ahead of UL in the conference standings once again.

The UConn game suddenly has a lot on the line. UConn needs the win for bowl eligibility. Some of our senior class could leave with 4 conference championships in some form whether its shared or outright.

Sorry for the ignorance, but I thought this was (mathematically) impossible. Can't believe Uconn and pitt won! Also can't believe we could only muster 3 pts. vs RU!

If Louisville Beats RU...and UC Beats UCONN....the highest Ranked team in the BCS goes to the BCS bowl game.....Pitt did beat RU and UC Beat Cuse and PITT....Cuse beat U of L...its possible for UC.........even though UC lost to U of L and RU.....RU is in the Drivers Seat...

We don't deserve to go to BCS bowl. Would be like UConn a couple of years ago.

The highest ranked between UL and RU would get the BCS bid.  UC and SU are eliminated from that possibility in a 4 way tie.

Kent State has a decent shot at a BCS game. The rules require a non AQ must be taken if they finish in the top 16 and higher than an AQ champion. Looking like neither Rutgers or Louisville will finish ahead of Kent State.

They still have 1 more game to play.

Which works big time in their favor. They win the MAC Champ game and they will most probably finish in the top 16 finishing ahead of Boise as top non AQ team, taking a BCS game away from the Big 12.

The Orange Bowl, which picks last, could be Georgia Tech vs Kent State.

Very interesting about Boise State. ALL SEVEN teams ranked directly in front of them lost. Is that enough to move them into the top 16? Probably not, but worth watching. They would have a 3-way tie with SDSU/Fresno State with a win over Nevada.

If Louisville wins Thursday and we win saturday we will share he Big East Championship but no matter what were going to the Belk Bowl because we would still end up in 3rd in the conference and the loser of the RU/UL game going to the Russel Athletic Bowl from what i understand since we lost to both Rutgers and Louisville.

May be the first time I remember it happening in a while but both teams in thi thing are ranked.
