I didn't get that letter.  You must be special and important.

You're wrong, it says everything. Amid the changing landscape of conference realignment, he is doing everything he can and asks for our patience. In the meantime, he reiterates that we have a university that deserves an invitation from other conferences. There's nothing else to say until something needs to be announced.

Please stop sprinkling poop all over the board.

I don't know that I would expect anything else.

In short just saying "I know, I know...stop calling me while I try to work a deal for a new home for us"

With Ono it seems that UC is in as good hands as any - I just hope he has enough ammo to work with.

Agreed.  I have tremendous faith in his abilities.

I still think our spot will open up after the Big 12 expands again.  The Big 12 will grab some ACC schools and we'll eventually roll into the ACC with Louisville and USF.  I'd prefer the Big 12, but they seem to fancy a few ACC programs.

Critical point in his young presidency.  He can be a hero.  Or he can be just another prez.  Or...it may just be out of his control altogether.

BTW, my truly 'best source' inside the Pac 12 texted me overnight that the Pac 12 should add the Bearcats.

Big 12 Tier 1 expires in 2015, they have to get to at least 12 for a CCG.
Bearcats to the ACC unless Big 12 goes bigger and/or BIG takes Kansas, then Big 12 is a possibility.

I really appreciated receiving this letter from President Ono, and never got anything when things went to hell in the past.

I have true faith in President Ono, but I'm not sure how much he can do. I'm sure he's doing everything he can though.

Our situation is very reliant on a lot of others. Got to appreciate the school and the president reaching out to try to get people off ledges at least.

Also despite all the hype surrounding this we don't know if this will be an isolated event or a mass movment.

BTW- there is a press conference scheduled by Rutgers at 2pm which will be carried live by SNY and the Big 10 network.
