Also good to see that it seems Navy has righted the ship after a terrible start to the season.  Now 6-3 and bowl eligible.

Agreed.
That is half the league next year at least getting votes.
That is darn good folks.

Good football being played. Pitt and Cuse, 4-5.

I don't understand how an undefeated Louisville is not getting more recognition, including the BCS.  I think there are 4 or so teams with losses ahead of Louisville.

Louisville's schedule and the fact that they haven't been too impressive in all of their wins is the reason why they don't get recognition. Add in that they are in the big east then you will know why. Ohio State hasn't played anyone better than Louisville but its Ohio state and urban Meyer so that's the issue.

As you know I am a UC fan first, Stanford second. I follow the Big East and Pac 12 closely. Watch many games in both leagues whether UC or Stanford is in them or not.

This year...UL would be only the 4th best team in the Pac 12 at best. They may well win the Big East and beat the ACC champ in the Orange Bowl...but I cannot see how they could beat Oregon or USC and I doubt they could beat Stanford or Oregon State (cough cough) either.

The rankings are fair IMO with regards to UL. Just an opinion, nothing more.

I agree with Cardinal, UC should have beat UofL. UofL is not the caliber of Alabama, Oregon, or Kansas State. Even if Alabama, Oregon, Kansas State, and ND all end up with a loss and UofL is the only undefeated team, UofL does not deserve to be in the Championship game.

You are right, but in their defense they have had some really bad luck in this.
FIU won 8 game in the Sun Belt last year, last place this year.
Southern Miss won C--USA last year, 0-9 and in last place this year.
Kentucky, usually not very good.... but even worse than normal this year.

One other thing.. it doesn't matter what the do or win....
Ohio State isn't going to a Bowl game because of cheating and rule breaking.
So even if they go undefeated its tainted by that fact.

Re: Coaches Poll 11/4/12

Looking at current Sagarin rankings for those gone/going vs those coming:

W. Va.      43                         Boise          33
Syr           60                         UCF            45
Pitt           63                         S. D. St.     53

So we are better off in every case.  (And as far as the ACC is concerned only FSU, Clemson & UNC are better than any of those 3).  So I don''t get it: Why do the sports "authorities" all think the ACC is one of the magic 5 and the BEast isn't?
