Re: Wrestling

Another great win over KSU.

Very strange dual.  Kent was up to their usual cowardice tactics.  KSU didn't use their starting wrestler's in the 149 and 165 matches. I am assuming to keep their #1 seeding going into the MAC tourney. In the 184 match the KSU wrestler Witt clearly had orders to do nothing but continuously slap Ben Bennett stay away from him and stall.  This is another cowardice tactic by their coach, which resulted in a 1-0 victory by Ben.  Ben was extremely upset after the match and rightfully so.  In my opinion Ben should have received multiple stalling points, but none was called by the ref.

That's okay...we will just take care of them again at the MAC Tournament!

Good write up about it in The Morning Sun, Bennett was p***ed:

There was a comment on the KSU board that Kilgore, their #1 at 197 lb., may have wrestled as a HWT if the match was close at the end. Don't know if I believe that but that would be interesting.

Re: Wrestling

Prof....I don't think these guys know what they are talking about possibly wrestling Kilgore at Hwt. Why would you risk getting your #1 guy hurt, when he will probably win another national championship.

But then again the KSU coach is an unpredictable idiot. eek1

Kent wrestling has always been full of BS! Borrelli has been "in their heads" for many seasons!

Re: Wrestling

Their coa h has always been a joke. Their stalling tactics are a sign that they are weak and try to hide it.

RE: Wrestling

Should make for an interesting MACC, when CMU-KSU matches square off. With Mizzou and Northern Iowa in the mix, it's gonna be even more exciting.

With regard to Kilgore at HWT; that's simply a crock. Do the math.

197 Kilgore PIN nearly guaranteed: 6 pts KSU
HWT Witt Most likely gets decisioned: 0 pts KSU

197 2nd String Most likely gets decisioned: 0 pts KSU
HWT Kilgore Decision at best: 3 pts KSU
