Kent

Posted: 2/9/2013 8:27 PM

Kent

Kent  was 9 0f 12 from the 3 pt line late in the 1st half and ended up leading CMU 44-40 at the half.  Kent is shooting lights out in the 2nd half and CMU is struggling . It will be nice when CMU gets the players for an inside game . They can't score underneath the basket and they can't defend in the paint. To me , Simons is a disappointment . He came in as a Parade All-American and has never looked the part. It's been brick city for him tonight and he can't physically handle anyone underneath the basket on defense.

Re: Kent

And the team from the armpit of Michigan could not stop BSU's Scaife who scorched the bronkie defense for 30 points in the BSU victory, at BSU, over the bronkies. We still need to see how the bronkies fare against some of the better MAC teams away from wmu's barn!

Shhhhh, Doctor, I'm trying to catch the end of the CMU/Kent game.  I smell another moral victor for the dead last, worst team in the league (per MAC Report).  Congrats biggrin

To be fair he's a 3 playing as a 4. I'd like to see him play as a 3 and getting the same looks and opportunities before I judge him. My biggest criticism is that he and Hibbits only look to shoot (if open) or pass (if covered). Keel might not be the most talented on the team but he is aggressive with the ball on the perimeter. I'd like to see more of that out of them.

Re: Kent

We knew these three games were going to be tough.  Thank goodness only one more to go.  I'm looking forward to seeing Ohio in Mt. Pleasant next Wednesday.  I see that as another CMU loss.  But I have always liked Ohio University - the look of its campus, its location and its sports teams.  Too bad we are in different divisions and only get to play them once in a while.

Come on Mr. Stats, you only need check the schedule.  We're 7-7 on the road this year including a win at Big East South Florida.

You're 2-9 on the road.

It's no secret that it's hard to win on the road, or in your case these days, hard to win anywhere.

Keel fits right into Keno's offense.  Stands around at the arch and jacks up threes. You'll love the kid from Edwardsburg, he's a clone of Keel.

Raise your hand if you predicted CMU would not win a game in the MAC this year.

Only a know-nothing that can't count to 11 would say such a thing.

When Coach Z was recruiting Simons, the young man described himself, "I'm a step back four". At the start of last season we'd lost Big Nate, all 6-10" and then lost our best p.forward, Voss. Absolutely tremendous losses. This season Saylor just struggles, he's been so injured. Simon's the only healthy height we have and he's a frosh; it ain't easy. Hopefully, Coach Davis can recruit some height for next year; it's an area he's struggled in so far. Meyer, 6-10 is #10 in the state in his class; that's an excellent recruit for Coach. Redmon's #10 as well...another excellent get. I tend to think the opposition's caught up with us. Defend the point hard...run at the catch-and-shoot guys and go from there. If the opposition has any size, play inside-outside. By the way, I don't think Meyer is gonna be enough height!!     SHALOM

Re: Kent

What is absolutely hilarious is that little dippie seems to be worried about CMU, the team he BRAGGED earlier would not win a MAC game!

dippie is the master of the irrelevant! What an absolute simpleton! He says things like you did not shoot well after he reads the stat sheet. You are not big in the middle after he reads the roster. You did not play good enough defense after he sees the stat the other team outscored the Chips. Any elementary kid in one of his classes could come up with more intelligent material!

Most of us CMU fans are very happy the team has won 9 games, so far. We know they are very young and inexperienced, they play very hard, they listen to the Coaches, they are good students, etc.

For the record: CMU has already beaten BSU, the team that just beat the dippie's mighty wmu bronkies tonight!

The bronkies are a typical wmu team! They have "promise" and always fall short of expectations! The seasons they win the very weak west division, their season is a SUCCESS! In general their goal is to win the weak west division no matter what their talent level is and then they get blown out of the MAC Tournament.

Re: Kent

Poor professor Gizmo, still trying to put make up on this pig of a basketball team.

Professor, we already smoked you by 17 at your house, or as you like to call it, "A moral victory for the Chips." crazy  We're 7-3 and in 1st, your 2-8 and in last.  The experts rank you dead last of all 12 teams in the league.  Nothing you can say does anything but reinforce that you stink.

Try as you might to paint pretty picture, you likely won't win another game in league play.  While that's not zero MAC wins, it is pretty damn close..................a lot closer than say your prediction that Keno would be MAC Coach of the Year, or the yahoo who said he could even be National Coach of the Year eek1

If the Broncos are a typical Bronco team as you say, you might want to model yourself after them.  We have the highest GPA in the league.  Had you not fired your coach and dropped half your team your APR rating would probably have cost you scholarships, and still might because it's a rolling 4 year average.  We've won the MAC West 5 of the last 10 seasons.  We've been to 4 post season tournaments in the last 10 years.  We've had five twenty win seasons in the last ten years.

Ol Dip was pulling for your beloved Chips to win one of the next three.  I was in your corner, but you couldn't leave well enough alone.  Had to get into a pissing match.  Put your MENSA cap back on doctor, cause right now your brain isn't functioning.

DOC, you should really just hit the ignore button on dippie, he is no where near being your class when it comes to BB or anything else for that matter.

Oh yeah, his analysis is spot on.   Two weeks ago he had Keno as MAC Coach of the year and gave them a good chance at winning the West, and maybe an outside chance at the league.  Now that has changed to losing by a double digits is a moral victory.

Honestly, I'm pulling for you guys to win one of the next two, and you're hoping you lose so I don't get my wish.  frown

Ok, BIG BLOW HARD, show me the post where I said: "... he had Keno as MAC Coach of the year and gave them a good chance at winning the West, and maybe an outside chance at the league."

You are so stupid you do not know when you are LYING, which is most of the time! You have never let the truth get in the way of your idiotic inane posts!

If Addison plays this week...I plan to see him...got caught up last week. Gonna try to take in the De La Salle wing kid as well. Steve Bell posted on this board that the De La Salle kid (his name escapes me..Granger?) and Redmon (2014 commit) are similar. SHALOM
