New Commit
Gary Jones from Allegan. Good athlete at 6'2, 190-lbs. Could be a steal.

Re: New Commit
I saw he was the 200-meter state champion as a sophomore. He beat EMU RB Bronson Hill for first.
No offers might have had me concerned in the past, but as everyone knows it's not the number of stars or offers that matter. It's the motivation, work ethic, potential and heart of the player.

BW posted as I was writing. I shouldn't speak for him, especially seeing that he is here. Sorry BW.

Butch Jones not only developed players,he had a knack for recruiting some nice NFL pedigree in,Eric Fisher,Antonio Brown,Nick Bellore,Matt Berning,Jake Olson,Dan LeFevour as OC etc.And no doubt he left us a nice senior class this year including Fisher,Addae,Wilson, etc.

I posted everything here, until recently when your best friend decided to play electronic terrorist. So, I have decided to post all my finds, nuggets, hints, etc. at ChippewaCountry. I don't get paid any more over there than I did here. ZIP. ciao.

Interesting. I know for a fact that Allen Trieu tweeted the commitment of Gary Jones at 4:43 p.m., 16 minutes before you posted it on the Rivals premium board. FIRE UP CHIPS!

Good for Allen. He's an outstanding individual and works very hard at his job. However, he is not my source.

Re: New Commit
This kid might be the best track athlete to come out of West Michigan in the last 50 years. He's a very good kid and a hard worker from what the Gazette has written about him (they did a feature on him a few years back). He'll have a learning curve in football because Allegan wasnt all that good, and what position he can play at this level is probably yet to be determined. He played RB at Allegan, but might run a little too straight up for this level. Maybe a DB.

The film on Jones is posted on TOS.

For a 10th grader to run 10.7 in the hundred meter and stand 6-1 and go 'bout 170 and run 22.0 in the 200 is quite good. He's high jumped well and long jumped well also. He's got something you just can't teach. He's 6-2" now and in time could be 6-2: 210 and running sub 11 in the 100 meter. As a safety that could be special. Does anyone have the "speed" numbers on the Flint Beecher kid? WMU...what are your thoughts on the "Babkiewicz" kid, all 6-5 of him? SHALOM

The film on Jones is posted on TOS. Jones was listed as an All Purpose player in the Gazette All Area team. And yes, it appears that he spent more time at WR than RB. Pic of him the paper showed him as a RB. Gary Jones, Allegan The 6-2, 190-pound senior was one of the better playmakers around this season. The track and field star was especially dangerous in open space. He caught 36 passes for 873 yards (24.3/catch) and eight touchdowns, and rushed 25 times for 177 yards and two scores. Jones returned nine kickoffs for 302 yards (33.6/return) and one TD. He made 49 tackles as a defensive back, forced three fumbles and intercepted three passes, two returned for TDs (one for a conference-record 102 yards).

Re: New Commit
It would be nice to have an actual kick returner with more on his mind than just catching the ball

Re: New Commit
So much drama on this site. A bunch of grown men arguing about who has more internet information then the other.
God forbid somebody says something you disagree around here.

Re: New Commit
I coached a JV basketball game against Jones when he was a freshmen at bloomingdale. The kid was already 6 foot 1 or 2 and was by far the best athlete I have ever seen at that age. He had 3 dunks that game and all were monster throw downs.
I have kept my eye on him since, including his transfer to allegan.
