Thanks Nate, a very good and in depth interview.  You covered just about everything we could have asked for.  I think Enos showed that he  has taken ownership of this program.  He and his staff are accomplishing the goals they have set down.  He mentioned a lot of names that have been just that up to this point, RSFr. that we will see for the first time next year.  It should be exciting.

Love the articles where every single player is mentioned positively.  Like when you ask the guy at the fruit stand which one? and he says "they're all good"

I'll tell you if every QB does get a serious look the starter will be severely short changed and probably not as ready to start against U of M.  There is just no way that will allow for 5 or 6 to get enough reps.

Q: How is recruiting going?
Enos: It is going very, very well. This is the third class in a row that we feel is going to be very solid. There are good players in it from top to bottom. We can’t count on any of them except for (Boone), because he is already in school. There is another quarterback in it that we feel really good about. Obviously, we are heavy in the Midwest where we are recruiting. But good people, good players, good students. We are very excited about it.

Great read. Am I the only one who is completely ready for the 2013 season to begin?

It's so nice when you end the season on a positive note. Really makes the offseason that much more enjoyable.

Re: Full interview with Enos

Nate, like many I am grateful for the coverage that you provide. Coach's comments on the d.side of the ball were really exciting. "Lata was probably the best"; the first year d.lineman kept getting better and to think that Latta, Sanders, Jorde and a healthy 6-5, 292 Randle will be in the mix...lookin' good. Didn't know Ricketts was red-shirted. Cody Wilson spoke highly of him and his athleticism and he's 230 lbs. plus and Bacci is 240; I'm lovin' it. We got three good safeties returning and toss in Jordan Fields. Hope we can get corner help to go with Wilson. Seems like our D. could be quite improved next year!! As for the offense, seems like young Mr. Rush oozes with talent. Enos is to be commended again for his handling of the three bowl-suspended wide-outs...decisions have consequences.Coach is trying to build men; I love it. And yes...there's another "good" q.back in the class!!! My, my, my; ain't ready for 2013 just yet..but it looks more promising.           SHALOM

Good interview.

And while I want to try hard to not to be critical (becasue it looks like this staff is making good improvement), and while I agree the Navy game was a horrible let down.... At least Navy was a bowl team, so they were actually a decent team.

Again, trying not to pick out a little thing (because to most CMU supporters, its not a little thing), but I wish coach would have mentioned the Western game as the biggest disappointment/loss.  frown

I hope he starts to understand that WMU is our main rival, and to lose to them (at home in Kelly/Shorts no less!!!) is NEVER, EVER acceptable and losing to them HAS to be the worst game of the season.  disbelief

I know he has to know about rivalry games... and I hope he starts to understand that this is our UM/MSU rivlary and we need to always beat Western.  banghead

I know this shouldn't bother me.... but it still does.

I agree with him. We looked bad from start to finish against Navy, offense, defense, special teams... We were never in that game and it was on national TV. At least with Western we were in the game and looking good in the 4th Q until the kickoff fumble. We couldn't stop them but they couldn't stop us either. Had we kept the ball, chewed up the clock, then scored we win that game. Instead we put our D in a bad spot and have to press on O to get a couple of scores, leading to turnovers. So as a coach I can see where you are most upset with a game that you were never in.

Warharks: I agree completely and was going to post the same thing, I guess I'm not as brave as you and didn't want to be "negative Nancy" But, a loss to Worstern has to the most disappointing regardless!

Re: Full interview with Enos

The loss to Western was emotionally draining. Losing to them at home really stings. We were actually in that game for most of the way though. If we could have stopped the 4th quarter meltdown or avoided turnovers we win the game.

We did not accomplish much in the Navy game. We couldn't stop the run, they took advantage of us with the pass, and the offense played flat.

As a fan you want the win against Western. You want to avoid mistakes, beat a team with a losing record, and win at home against your rival. It is easier as a fan to shake off the Navy loss since they had a good season.

I can see how as a coach you are upset by the poor performance and execution on the field against Navy. We were never in that game. It wasn't one person or a few people responsible, the team played horrible that night. It had to have been infuriating for coaches, especially since we had already seen the option in SEMO

Hey Nate when Enos said this and I quote""Then we have a couple other guys who have a chance to sneak in or get picked up as free agents and have a good shot at making a roster. So yeah, we are very excited for those guys.""" whom was he referring too Im just curious......

Re: Full interview with Enos

I would assume Addae was one guy he was referring to, the other could be anyone's guess. There are probably a few guys that could fit the bill of being picked up as a free agent.

I've heard him mention Cody Wilson will get a shot as a free agent. Not sure who else will get a look.

Re: Full interview with Enos

Good interview Nate.

I agree with WH on this one.  As a coach, the game you let get away should be the most disappointing.  Especially, when it's against your rival.  IMO the 28 point 4th quarter implosion was, by far, the most disappointing.  Not to mention the hardest thing to watch all year.

A game you were never in?  How is that disappointing?  You were never in it.  If that's your criteria, then the MSU game should be the most disappointing.
