BIG John Williams

Posted: 12/28/2012 11:41 AM

BIG John Williams

Makes the key fumble recovery in the 4th Q that sets up the win for Cincy....

CHIPS could have used this star during the past season...not good enough for enos...

CONGRATS to John for an outstanding career...

Re: BIG John Williams

His play saved the day for a Cincinnati bowl win.Duke had the ball near the goal line to win in the last minute when JW recovered.

Olson is less valuable(great OL depth)/much more injury prone, than the big Captain was.Surely don't expect the replaceable/injury prone Olson to take up a scholarship next season.

Re: BIG John Williams

Yes,but Olson is not the same value as the Capt. was to the Dline,so lets see.And he is very injury prone. His return would be some sort of record if cmu plays in another january bowl and he takes up a scholarship. It will be eight years since he signed in '07 and sat out.Henry has already started at R tackle a handful of times both last year and this year and there is plenty of quality OL depth. If Enos finds another Titus Davis or Leterriuous Walton late in recruiting who could blame him to not offer over a high injury risk?

"It will be eight years since he signed in '07"   Please tell us you are not a CMU alumni.

It must be killing you row, you havent been truly happy since Nov 9.  Just think you have to go thru the whole offseason miserable.  On the plus side during the spring game one of the Chips teams will lose and you can blame Enos for that.

Your man-crush on Williams is reaching disturbing levels.  Remind us, where will this "star" be drafted come April?

Williams proved to be a huge addition to the Cincinnati team. After having two DTs drafted last year, DT was a huge question mark. Williams came in and had 33 tackles, 5 TFLs and 2.5 sacks. Pretty solid numbers from the DT position.

No one's saying Williams isn't a good player and a better guy.  But calling him a "star" is a bit much.  Some seem to believe he'll get a shot in the NFL...   eek1

RE: BIG John Williams

he was very good for Cinci is what I believe they meant and obviously a winning coach saw this and brought him to Cinci unlike a losing coach here that didn't believe he could help...that was the point of this post I believe!!! way to go ROW

RE: BIG John Williams

not sure but 7-6 is a winning record, and your hero never won a bowl game for US! Go buy some burnt orange and represent the "T".
We had a guy who turned around a nightmare season w/o making a having a total meltdown in the locker room.

And send those checks to UT c/o BJ, I am sure all of you BJ fans will feel better giving you money to them, and we really do not need to hear about how you were charter members of the CLUB.

And one more thing if you can't appreciate the this season ended with the wins and a bowl victory, you probably are not a fan of CMU football period.
