Titus Davis hurt?
Caught the final quarter of the game on CMU's radio broadcast. Titus Davis was hurt in the first quarter was all that I heard. Does anyone know of the nature of his injury?

He was limping around on the sideline in uniform with his left ankle wrapped up.

Re: Titus Davis hurt?
Andrew Flory looked fantastic in Davis' absence. Looked like a big part of the future.

Re: Titus Davis hurt?
Hook us up with the 411 on Davis, Nate. Please.
We need our best playmaker these next two weeks.

Re: Titus Davis hurt?
All that was said is that it is an ankle injury, that came straight from Enos. I'm thinking just a sprained ankle and I'll ask about his status early this week.

Re: Titus Davis hurt?
When Flory first got on campus he was so impressive that the staff wanted to play him as a true frosh. He got hurt and red-shirted. He had a t.down today that was called because Cody was penalized for a down-field block. Flory is quite talented. I watched him at the SEMO game and he ran some great crossing routes. Today, he got hit and came out a little slow. He went back in and got hurt again. He recovered and simply showed that he'll be a force in the future. Flory's play may well help to explain why Jason Wilson is a c.back now. Butler's been emerging as well. Kroll just can't get on the field now. Our receiver corps could be quite good next season as well. SHALOM

RE: Titus Davis hurt?
Flory had a great game. The hit he took that put him down was the result of a block he put on a defender down field that ended up being a head to head. shot. I think Codys' penalty might have been the result of a pick type route that seldom gets called now a days. There were some very questionable calls late against CMU that led to their last score and made the game closer than it should have been for most of the fourth quarter. The Chips played a LOT of young players in this game, more so than ever I believe and I think it says volumes about who is busting their butts.

RE: Titus Davis hurt?
i'm probably very late to this topic, but what is going on with anthony garland? he was getting some very nice carries early in the year.
in my opinion, lavallii wasted a redshirt as garland could have been a little more effective.

in my opinion, lavallii wasted a redshirt as garland could have been a little more effective. By Garland's own public admission he was not practicing at the level he need to be at. He accepted responsibility for his actions. As for Lavalli, well from what I saw in the SEMO game the guy has talent and had already beaten out T.Phillips. The guy who could have most likely afforded Lavalli a red-shirt was Austin White. Both White and Sawicki made unfortunate decisions and I hope they both move forward with their lives. SHALOM

No kidding, that PI call the play before the TD was awful. The receiver was being double teamed and feel down...the problem is that neither defender was within 2-yards of him! Also.....Davis seems to have gone out after the play where he fumbled on the opening drive. Must have been hurt on the play.

Re: Titus Davis hurt?
I don't know if anyone saw my tweet this morning, but coach Enos said that the swelling has already gone down for Davis and he will probably be able to play Saturday. Will know more Wednesday.

He just fell; should not have been a flag. I'd left the CMU side and watched the end of the game from the south end-zone. I had a great look and concur. SHALOM
