The Black Line was the only real, unforced tradition we had.  I loved the Black Line.

The screen was so small didn't really matter. Hard to believe that when we put that thing up it was less than 100 sq feet smaller than Va.Tech's.

What a piece of junk, I would drive to Jonesboro to see someone blow it up for July 4th.

If you could have a swing with a sledgehammer, how much would you pay?

They were very busy with the removal on Monday when I was by the stadium.

With us only getting back to the area once a year or so, it was great to see the changes happening all around the stadium complex - North additions, scoreboard updates, etc.

Can hardly wait for the 8/30 kickoff!!

$3.51

Wolves attack in packs. So it is best to attack them one on one, but even that can lend itself to be difficult.

I heard someone mentioned to Mickey Ryan on Facebook that there should be a simulated black line during the first game!

The new board is digital, so it would be easy to insert a new black line that Howl could erase forever.  I am sure it would be a crowd pleaser.  We could send the old one to Mobile.  That video board they use at the GoDaddy Bowl  is the only one in the country worse than the "Indian Black Eye".

But, would the Go-Daddy folks mount it at the top of one end of the stadium so everyone could see it, or just prop it up at field level in one of the endzone corners?
Speech is conveniently located between thought and action, where it frequently substitutes for both.

I didn't make the USA game this year but heard that USA rents a nice board though not much larger for their games.

Great video on the dismantling of the old board, and even greater video of the ASU version of the Autobahn in the background.....

We are all really excited about our new scoreboard, but I saw on the internet today where Texas A & M has just completed the installation of their new scoreboard, the largest in all of college football.  Like it is said, everything is bigger in Texas.

At least it will be the largest for a couple of years, it was disclosed this morning that OU's new board will be over a 1000 sq ft larger than A&M's after their stadium renovations are completed.  This story will be ongoing until who knows.
I am waiting for the day when someone finally points out you could install a monitor at every seat (like on a plane) for a fraction of the cost of one of the big boards going up everywhere.

I'm actually looking for a board to circle the entire top of a stadium...

Let's just go straight to IMAX in the north end zone and beat everyone else.

Then 18 year old kids getting paid thousands of dollars, who would not in any other way qualify for enrollment at a top university would not get to see themselves larger than life playing football. Actually I would settle for really good wifi and the ability to bring in my own iPad.
