Haha. That makes more sense. But you had to imagine that every hilltopper fan that heard that news was worried.

Re: Petrino already leaving WKU?
I think Bobby P and the NFL are done with each other.

Re: Petrino already leaving WKU?
Pete Carroll can prove that theory wrong, I wouldn't be surprised to see BP, Nick Saban, Chip Kelly, or Brian Kelly in the NFL sometime soon either as HC or OC for some team. It's seems bright offensive minds are @ a premium, spread and read option are making a comeback.

RE: Petrino already leaving WKU?
Only way Petrino goes back to NFL is as Offensive Coordinator...
The way he left as HC was too embarrassing for ANY owner to take a chance on happening (except maybe the New York Jets).
Petrino to the NFL turned out to be like Spurrier to the NFL, tried to bring in too many of "his" guys and ended up with a huge issue on a team that wasn't going to be great to begin with. Started looking for the exits and found one when Jeff Long threw him a life preserver.

Probably, but he will rise to the upper levels again in college. He is that good.

I don't know that that is a bad situation for either the coach or NMS. went they like 2-10 last year?
