Keeper League 2010-11 Offseason
Anyone up for some offseason trades? The Cards making some deals have awoken me a bit. And, heck, spring training is only 2.5 months away!
I am in desperate need of pitching. Have some good, top line position players I'm willing to move for the right price. Texiera, Wright, Zobrist, Swisher all available.

I am interested in offseason trades as well. I'm very busy until Spring Training (buying a house and getting married in the next six weeks) but I'll try to check in here somewhat often still.

i suggest everyone else do the same, it may help for people to see who may or may not be available...you dont have to of course but it may help

I'm able to look at my roster, but it doesn't indicate their position availability. I know last year we based our keepers on their availability at the end of the prior season. I assume we'll do the same this year? But I'm not sure what's available, since it doesn't show on the roster, say if Zobrist is still available at SS, Doumit in LF, etc.? I think he was at the end of last year, but I can't confirm it. Does anybody know where we can check this?
I'll take a shot at my keepers for now, but they are sure to change.

players are eligible at positions they were for the past year and the coming up year...so 2010..and the yet to be released position availability for 2011...minor league keepers (not in the Yahoo database) are available at any position they PLAYED even if for one inning while in the minors last year
if the player had the eligibility in 2010 they can be held as a keeper for that position
for example... Lance Berkman had LF position keeper potential for 2010 because he had the availability in 2009.but since he did not end up with that availability in 2010 he can not be held as a keeper for 2011 as LF
zobrist was available as SS last year so he woudl be fine for a keeper at SS this year...if he does not get SS position capability this year then he would not be able to be kept as SS for 2012

I would be interested in having some talks surrounding Josh hamilton and Carl Crawford and Jose Reyes.
