MLB 2K9

MLB 2K9 

Hey guys not trying to waste your time with something thats not really related to the cardinals but i need some help.  I just got MLB 2k9 and i cant figure out how to throw anything but a fastball.  I know how to call off the catcher and go to another location but all i can ever throw is a fastball, even when the catcher calls for something else.  I dont understand what else i can do as i have tried everything.  If anybody plays the game and can offer some advice i would really appreciate it because im having to win all my games with our potent cardinal offense and a lot of groundballs, cant get any strikeouts

If you hit LB and bring up all the pitches.   It will show you which direction to move the stick and then follow through as the meter fills up.

For example alot of cirlce changes or pushing the stick up let the meter fill and then movie the stick a quarter circle counter clockwise.

Alot of sliders are push the stick to the left or right and the movie it a quarter cirle down.   

Each pitcher is different.

just for the record... if you have a ps3 take it back and get mlb 09 the show. i had the 360 and hated 2k9. got rid of the 360 got a ps3 and the show... just my 2 cents

Haha yea wish i could get the show its so much better but i have an x box unfortunately.  Sorry i did not realize there was a gaming forum this is the only forum i go to, i really did not mean to inconvenience anyone and thinks for all the help.  Not sure if i understand exactly but i will give it a shot

The pitcher has to throw a strike sooner or later, so why not hit the pitch you want to hit and not the one he wants you to hit?

i dont get "offended" by it Eck... but when there is a specific place for these questions then it seems it should be moved to that area. If i coudl have helped in the question i would have helped, but since the only thing i could help with was directing him and the thread to the proper forum that is what i did. If anything, I only am "offended" that you woudl think i was "offended"
