Trade Discussion in Phil's Scout League
I am setting this thread up to discuss trades. Some have expressed needs for a closer and starting pitching. I am willing to listen to offers for the following:
Jose Reyes (I missed the opening round and this wasn't my first choice.) Chris Duncan (Ok...I took him early...however...I was zoning at the time and grabbed someone familiar) Andruw Jones Travis Hafner Chad Cordero
I am open to moving just about anyone.

P.S. Are you interested in the NL-only league? We are sitting at 9 teams and draft this coming Sunday.

Re: Trade Discussion in Phil's Scout League
I would be willing to move Swisher, Pena, or Hall. I cannot believe how deep the pool of free agents is.

Re: Trade Discussion in Phil's Scout League
i agree...i wish we had the obligatory extra OF spot and CI and MI as well as another SP slot, I think it would make the waiver wire pool shallower and make for some more trades...i mean i can pretty much go the pool for any stat i want if i need it during the week...maybe not saves, but ya pretty much everything else

If it was the next week sometime, i would definitely be interested I would definitely change the draft date, however the times left for live drafts are not that attractive (8 am or 9am Sunday morning or 5 p.m. through the week). I am sure you will not be missing us too much anyway...

RE: Trade Discussion in Phil's Scout League
I have lots of SBs, and I'd like to acquire a legit ace pitcher. I'm open to discussing moving just about anyone in pursuit of that. I had band practice (in another state) during the draft, and ended up with two starting pitchers on the Pittsburgh staff.
Some names I'm interested in:
Kazmir, Webb, F. Hernandez, Halladay, Sabathia, Oswalt, Zambrano, Cain, Verlander, Lincecum, Peavy, Hamels, Penny
I'm serious when I say that I'll entertain any reasonable offer.

The pitcher has to throw a strike sooner or later, so why not hit the pitch you want to hit and not the one he wants you to hit? –Johnny Mize

My starting lineup has three .300/30/30 candidates in Upton, Granderson, and Wright and two more .300/20+/20+ (riskier) candidates in Pence and Kemp.
The only thing that I really would see a need to upgrade is LF (Burrell) or C (Varitek). The LF/CF/RF designations bit me (even though I consciously tried to fill things appropriately). I have too many CFs and RFs and no LFs. I would love to be able to get Swisher, Bill Hall, or Justin Upton into the starting lineup, but not at the expense of Granderson or Pence.

Does Jason Bay interest you at all? Sure, but not for Sabathia, Oswalt, or even Hill or Billingsley. Bay isn't much of an upgrade over Burrell unless Burrell tanks (in his contract year) and Bay returns to all-star form.

I wouldn't expect an even swap of Bay for an ace...just trying to get the conversation started. I'll have to do some closer investigation of the rosters when I get home tonight - yahoo Fantasy is blocked by the filter at work.

Plus, I may actually try to add another starter to what I already have.

RE: Trade Discussion in Phil's Scout League
I'm interested in moving one of Lidge, Capps, or Street for a good SP. Deal might need to be bigger than that, I don't know...make me an offer if you'd like.
