happy bday to me, and cancer free!
im 31 years old today, and my anniversary of 5 years cancer free!!!  (the unofficial breaking point) so happy anny to me! And congrats to all those who have survived, and to those who have not,we remember....not trying brag...well actually eff it i am! happy to be here and to be healthy enough to worry about things like baseball instead of health, cheers to all!

I had cancer in 2010, went through surgery, chemo and radiation. They thought it was back, and after a biopsy last week, I found out on Tuesday that I'm not going through it again. No sign of a repeat. I feel born again....at the age of 70.

Wow, I didn't realize so many 5 year cancer-free anniversaries are so close together. Super cool!
I had colon cancer surgery April 9, 2007, so I'm at my 5 year anniversary as well!! Fortunately I never had to go through chemo or radiation as mine was caught early enough to avoid that. A testimony to everyone to get checked regularly, and if anything seems suspicious or out of the ordinary, talk to your doctor about it.
I've still had regular checkups, scans, and blood tests over the last five years though. But once you hit that 5 year mark, the odds of it coming back diminsh rapidly.

And I see this thread 6 months later...
Congrats to Gray, Mike, UConn, RXP, and others I've missed. My wife is at her 30th anniversary; and it's still an emotional moment for her.
