need impartial help 

names and figures have been changed to protect the innocenttongue

so my friend "joe" and i bet peppermintstongue on football and baseball....we made an arragement that we dont have to pay out peppermints to each other in peppermint for unless one of us is down/up 10 or more peppermints....

im currently down 9 peppermints to him and we had a huge falling out...he texts me saying he wants his mints...i say joe we had an agreement....he says you owe me 9 peppermints....anyone have a solution here?

If your friendship with him is worth more than 9 peppermints, work out your differences and make smarter bets in the future.

If your friendship is over and you want it to stay that way, stick to the agreement and keep your peppermints.

If you can't work it out now, but think that someday you might, it's probably worth 9 peppermints to keep that door open. Pay it and leave the ball on his field.

If it's not a friendship, then go with plan B. Stick to the agreement that until either one of you is down 10 mints, nobody owes anything.

If I didn't know you better, I'd say you were purposely provoking a quarrel with Joe just in the nick of time so to not have to pony up those 10 peppermints, Grays.

I actually think hes mad because i was down about 15 peppermints and got down to 9 this past week...also ive taken about 45 sweet sweet mintstongue off him since july mostly helped out by my "always bet on doug fister" strategy!

So he actually said he doesnt want to play anymore, i reminded him of our agreement. We compromised and I have until the end of the superbowl to close the book....then i think ill make a gingerbread housewink

Sounds like a good way to finish it off, grays. The one thing you guys did not include in the "no peppermints until 10" arrangement was a closing agreement.

Here's hoping you reverse the numbers and end up with a new roll of Lifesavers peppermints after the Super Bowl, with perhaps a gingerbread house thrown in for good measure.
