Perhaps they got around to listening to Horton try to call a baseball game and realized they're better off with a guy who might get drunk now and then instead of using somebody that is ill-suited to perform that job.
I wish Dan the best and hope he spends some of his newly found free time to better prepare himself to call baseball games. Now, if somebody could just get Hrabosky to do a little prep work.
