grinds...
www.getgrinds.com i have no affiliation with this company what so ever, but I thought Id share.. If you have a chewing tobacco habit that you are trying to kick these are miracle workers and 100% safe...I have dipped ever since i was 16 (disgusting ), not every day but during basball games etc...I saw an ad for these and tried them. Its coffee grinds flavored like dip in pouches, gives you a good jolt and also give you the physical feeling of chewing....if you're trying to kick it, give it a shot...

Re: grinds...
Oooh...I might check that out. It is a vice. I always get strange looks buying dip in a business suit.
EDIT: Mint chocolate and Mocha are the two flavors? That's it? I can't imagine how that would remind me of dip. I have never seen chocolate flavored dip. Sounds gross.
Damn. I was pretty excited about this.
And, despite their stated intention, the testimonials make it sound more like a caffeine supplement than a dip alternative.

Re: grinds...
I just tried to order the sampler but I apparently misread the discription. I thought the sampler was 9 cans and not 6. With shipping, that makes it nearly $5 a can. I am not sure I can justify that. I only pay half that for the real stuff.

Re: grinds...
Got em. Not bad - but the pouches fall apart on me and I get grounds in my mouth which, for some reason, I can't stand despite the fact that actually lose dip doesn't bother me at all. Maybe it is because the coffee grounds are a little crunchy and are more noticeable when they get stuck in my teeth.
Also...I ordered a sampler (3 mint, 3 mocha) and I got six Mint and a note that they were out of Mocha but would send them free of charge when they get them in August. And, to make things right, they are sending me a few cans of their new, yet unreleased flavor, cinnamon roll.
So, assuming they send me three cans of cinnamon roll and three of Mocha when available, my initial order of 3 mint and 3 mocha (for something in the neighborhood of $25) will have netted me:
6 cans mint 3 cans mocha 3 cans cinnamon roll
Not a bad customer appreciation gesture.

Re: grinds...
Business suit dipper here too.
Hey Easton, that cinnamon roll sounds pretty good. I've been dipping Kodiak since I was 16, and I'm 35 now. Needless to say, it's time to quit but as you all know, it just becomes a part of life. It's not only the addiction, but also the habit. Well I'm sure I'm not telling y'all anything you don't already know.
I might have to give that a shot. The big problem I see is I just like the taste if kodiak.

Re: grinds...
I actually emailed the owners to say that and I got a response. He said they tried traditional dip flavors but they all clashed so badly with the flavor of the coffee (which made sense after I thought about it) that they scrapped it.
Mint chocolate isn't bad. It hasn't replaced my habit entirely but I have already noticed that I do it less. One the way to/from the gym, the little caffeine jolt is kind of nice. Same goes for the ride to/from work. I don't break out the real stuff until I'm watching the Cards game on DVR after the rest of the house is in bed.
And I don't have to deal with the admittedly disgusting spit bottles.

Re: grinds...
i think mint choc is the best for sure, only because it reminds me the most of a chew, although i usually just dipped straight anyway...
for me its really just having the feeling of a couple pouches tucked in the lip...but glad i could get someone else on them! Hope both you guys end up quitting...
