Lohse has been great all year and should give our offense a chance to get ahead so i like Cards chances also. It is important to jump on this team early and really knock the air out of them and their crowd. Molina has been quiet so far so he is my pick for a big hit. At least they will know early on who will be waiting in the NLCS. I am callling this one closer than the last two days but with the same result. 6-4 St.Louis. excitedexcitedexcited

GO CARDS!

It's been a hyper busy stretch.  Finished work at 3 am today, before being back in around 9:15.  But...I'm off shortly to game 4 and will do my best to bring home a series winner.  I see that my inbox has four messages.  Sorry I've not had time to be here this stretch.

I'll certainly take that. Somehow I can't get too confident about Kyle Lohse pitching in a big game, even though he's been great all year. But he did the job in Atlanta so hopefully he'll keep it going today.

We need to end this thing today because we don't want to have to clinch against Gonzalez. He was shaky in that first outing, but is a tough pitcher and if he's on he would be tough to beat.

According to weather.com, it is sunny in D.C. today.  I guess that means hitters will have to deal will those shadows that the announcers always talk about.  Now I used to play a lot of sports and shadows never bothered me, but I never had to deal with a 90mph fastball.  Is it as bad as the announcers make it sound, or is that just another myth that announcers seem to harp on?

Wow, San Francisco leads the Reds 6-0 in the 5th inning.  Wouldnt that be a shocker after the first two games.  But a six run lead at Riverfront can be overcome.  With a 6-0 lead the Giants are in the drivers seat.

Dude, Cincinnati has played at GREAT AMERICAN BALLPARK since 2003.  The old stadium wasn't even called Riverfront after they renamed it Cinergy Field in 1996.

It's 6-3 in the 6th now at Cincy. Kind of surprises me as I thought Latos would be better in this one. But the Giants had to feel good about their chances in this one as it's tough to beat Matt Cain twice in a week.

I too often find myself thinking "Riverfront Stadium" when thinking of where the Reds play.  It was so the whole time I was growing up and on thru young adulthood into middle age.  They could call it whatever they wanted to later on, it was still Riverfront.  I always think of the Phillies as playing in Veterans, like when they and the Cards were division rivals.  I can remember my dad calling Veterans Staduim Connie Mack, and my grandfather calling Connie Mack Shibe field.  Baseball has been around for a long time Pads, and so have some of us fans.

This game has me nervous. Just got a bad feeling this one is going 5. Doesn't help that my project group insists on meeting at 3 today to film our video project.

My work is having their annual family festival, because, ya know, that's what people do in the middle of the ******* afternoon/evening, not watch baseball.

The O seems up to their old ways. Maybe Koz can get it started in the 7th. (If they don't pitch around him again) :>
