Can't help it he got drunk and broke his hand and missed a bunch of time.
That's kind of why I said we'll have to see what the two will do in 2013

If you guys don't like OPS feel free to compare any other batting stats. Well if we are looking at the stats of players who don't even have enough PA's to actually qualify for the stat, you should see what Eddy Rodriguez did in San Diego. His OPS was 1.229! Eddy > Yadi > Lucroy.

As far as comparing there defense, it's tough. Lucroy calls a great game. He did great with the young guys at the end when the Brewers made that late run. He guns guys out well too. If you guys have stats to prove me wrong throw them out there. PA = 346
PA = 563
Big difference 200+ PAs will make on a catcher's performance. Yadi after 324 PA had a .889 OPS. I guess that makes Yadi better without question.

If you guys have stats to prove me wrong throw them out there. If you want to use only OPS or any other offensive stat, you could be comparing apples to oranges. OPS+ already adjusts for park factors which is meant to even out the differences in where the games are played. Lucroy OPS+ 133 Molina OPS+ 137 Molina comes out ahead there. Even out the HR and 2b for 505 ABs: Lucroy 19 HR, 27 2B Molina 22 HR, 28 2B I don't see enough stats that show Lucroy is better than Molina offensively. I see enough stats that they were equal offensively.

^ Pretty much where I was going with this.
You guys were touting Molina as being better than Braun. I was just pointing out that he's barely better than Lucroy, if at all.
As far as the PA's go, you guys are acting like he only had 100 PA's. He had more than half a season's worth of PA's. Ya, he got hurt so he had less than Yaddy. He still had enough PA's to draw a conclusion.

Ignoring every other stat, give me the guy who is actually gonna be behind the plate everyday.

MVP is about more than just offense. It also considers defense at premium defensive positions. It also takes into account overall leadership, as well.

Tread water very carefully, gentlemen(Forschster and DeadPanic). To engage Slappzilla in heated debate is truly to play with fire. Tell you what. If I were ever to be brought up before the high court on some trumped up charges, I'd be looking in Slappy's direction for some crack legal council.

I hope they have internet in the slammer, Pugs. The Brew Crew held a fan contest to design their new alternate uniform.

Ha!! But really, maybe it's just me, but I have a lot of confidence in Slappy. It's almost as if he's just begging to be talked into becoming a Cards fan by all of us around here. Do we dare try??

More roiderz
http://www.miaminewtimes.com/2013-01-31/news/a-rod -and-doping-a-miami-clinic-supplies-drugs-to-sport s-biggest-names/
so when Holliday gets mentioned in this article for roiding (again) will you guys admit PED's are still rampant throughout MLB?
What if Yaddy gets mentioned? Suppose you guys will all bail off the St. Louis bridge hey?

I started a separate thread on that subject as it has no apparent connection to the Brewers. It is irresponsible for you to be suggesting names of players not included in the report, whether Cardinals, Brewers or anyone else. If you want to discuss Brewers baseball and Cardinals baseball, so be it, but stop the trolling.

RE: I hope all you Cardinal fans enjoyed your little run last ye
I'm not trolling and it does have to do with the Brewers...
You guys love to bring up the fact that Braun tested positive for PED's over and over and over again. I fully admitted that I think Braun juiced. It wouldn't surprise me if he still was even, but that doesn't bother me because my belief is that PED's are still rampant across the board in MLB.
You can call me a troll when I say "don't be surprised if a Cardinal gets caught using PED's" all you want. I'd say the same thing about any team in MLB.
I'm getting it out there now so when someone does get the 50 game suspension...and you guys are in shock and awe...I will be fully able to say "I told you so"
FWIW, it won't surprise me when Weeks turns up on a list. The dude tripled in size since his debut in the league and he's tripled his power over time as well. Unfortunately they don't make a PED that can help him make contact...

Listen, pal. Here on a Cardinals board you directly accused Matt Holliday of juicing without any proof. That is trolling by anyone's definition. Either you follow the rules or you will not be allowed to post here. Simple as that.
There are plenty of other boards out there where people can post anything they please. This is not one of them.

RE: I hope all you Cardinal fans enjoyed your little run last ye
I just directly accused Rickie Weeks of juicing without any proof either. Gonna tick me for allegedly "trolling" on my own team?
Melky Cabrera was having the year of his life last year. He was in line for the batting title. Then he tested bad... Bartolo Colon was having a career resurgance the last couple of years. Then he tested bad... Braun had the best year of his amazing career in 2011. Won MVP even. Then he tested bad...
I could do this for awhile
granted, my accusations towards Rickie are about his growth in size, not so much his numbers but the numbers were there too.
If I have reason to "accuse" any of your prestigious cardinals of taking PED's, I will post them. If it helps you sleep at night, you can turn around and "accuse" me of trolling when doing so. I'm just calling it has I see it, and I'm calling it as I see it against my own team as well, so let's stop the nonsense of me trolling the Cardinals.

RE: I hope all you Cardinal fans enjoyed your little run last ye
I suggest that we all already know that PEDs are a problem in baseball and elsewhere, and the Cards and Brewers are likely not much different than other teams. I can't see that it accomplishes anything to restate it.
Nor is there anything wrong or nieve about Cards fans thinking Cards players are virtuous unless proven otherwise. That's just being a fan.
Gratuitously dropping names that haven't been linked is juvenile and lacking in class.
Hopefully, once ST gets under way, there will be something worthwhile to talk about.

Multiple wrongs do not equal a right. If you want to discuss your accusations against Rickie Weeks, I suggest you take them to a Brewers message board.
If your calling things as you see them continue to violate the posted board policy here, then be prepared to lose your posting privileges. You have been warned once.

RE: I hope all you Cardinal fans enjoyed your little run last ye
FYI - This would never even have come up had you guys not grinded Braun and his juicing to the point of the dead horse and beyond. Had the consensus been what you just said, blingboy, that we all already know that PEDs are a problem in baseball and elsewhere, and the Cards and Brewers are likely not much different than other teams, then I'd never brought it up as you'd be agreeing with me. Of course there's nothing wrong or nieve about Cards fans thinking Cards players are virtuous unless proven otherwise. I agree that's just being a fan. My issue is with the "Gratuitously dropping names that haven't been linked is juvenile and lacking in class." bit that you and Brian keep bashing me with. Why is it juvenile and lacking class? Especially when I am saying the exact same things regarding my team and it's players? Had I just said all the Cards are roiderz then ya, I'm a troll. I think in this day and age we can all openly talk about possible PED suspects, no? Taboo stil?

The 'juvenile and lacking class' is just my opinion, I accept that you see it otherwise.
I'm not against a little blood spatter, but a little goes a long way. I suggest your point has been made and you move on to something else. We all like to have the last word, but Brian is entitled to have it here.
I'm looking forward to your input throughout the season and I'm sure others are too.

Thing is that you don't have a reason to accuse Holliday or Molina. You have presented no evidence, just conjecture. Stop watching Glenn Beck dude it is frying your brain. Also you ARE trolling this board b/c this is where you are posting. No one here cares if you troll on other boards or accuse other teams players w/o any evidence. Why should we? You know Slappy if you come here defecating from your mouth that you WILL be called out on it here. By the way i am one who has said we have to give Braun a pass on last year b/c he was not convicted of anything.
GO CARDS!
