How to find Cardinals major/minor leaguers/draftees: Updated

Team rosters

The minor league rosters here at The Cardinal Nation have been updated, including Extended Spring Training invitees - information not available anywhere else. Players in Extended Spring Training are listed on either the Batavia roster or their 2010 level, whichever is lower. Once short-season play begins in June, these players will be moved to Batavia, Johnson City and Gulf Coast League as appropriate.

The minor league rosters can be accessed via the "Minor League Rosters" dropdown menu located on the red bar to the right of the site logo. St. Louis' roster can be found on the same red bar underneath the site logo by clicking "Team Info" then "Roster". The latter reflects the 25-man roster only.

Player profile pages

On each of the rosters, individual player names are highlighted. Click on names to view profile pages for any one of the 276 players currently in the system. There you can find links to current year and career stats, photos, videos, bio information as well as links to every article and news item we have ever written about that player.

Single system view - roster matrix

I just published a new update of the "Cardinals organization roster matrix" at The Cardinal Nation Blog. The matrix displays all 276 players in the system at their current level and position - on a single page. It is updated daily in sync with the team rosters here on the main site. It also includes a 40-man roster view.

Together, these three tools provide access to most extensive pool of information on Cardinals minor leaguers anywhere. I hope readers find these reference items useful.

A general message board search tip from PadsFS:

If anyone ever wants to find anything, just post in google:

site:mbd.scout.com and type whatever you want to find.

"Site:" restricts the google search to just whatever site you follow it with.

A question from a new subscriber made me realize this information may not be obvious to all:

The very best place to keep on top of everything posted here (articles and hot news alike) is via the "News" tab, which is located on the red bar directly underneath the site logo. Once there, you can also enter any desired subject in the Search box, including player name, to get all related content (up to 100 items).

A new roster matrix covering the draft and short-season clubs is now active here.

You can track who is signed, where they are assigned and see SC, JC and GCL rosters as they are developing.
