The 2014 version of the 1968 Cardinals better be ready for these Cubs.  They would love nothing more than to come in to Busch and take three of four and derail our chances.

I'll have to miss this game as i'll be at the high school football game.  Hopefully i'll have some good news when i get home.

My grandma for her 80th birthday will be throwing out the first pitch or will have her grandson do it. I'll be on warning track watching. Her dad was Eddie Dyer. So get there early if you are going.

Molina will probably be in the lineup tonight.

I wonder if they might go ahead and bring Siegrist back.  He has been untouchable in Memphis.

Rizzo didn't play last night and is questionable for today, but a few friends in Chicago told me this morning that they are optimistic he will play tonight.

Thought this was a pretty good article.  Hopefully he's not rushing back too soon.

Well, Rats, things look bleak tonight with the pitching parings.  Maybe they can surprise everyone.

Nathan sure does seem a lot more chipper when the Cards are struggling.  I still remember how upset he was when we won the 2006 World Series and how that was supposed to be the worst thing that had ever happened to this team - on the grounds that it convinced management they were doing the right thing.

I sense a little bit of "better to rule in hell than serve in heaven" mentality going on here, and it's not just Nathan.  Certain fans do not want the team to do well unless they are doing it according to *their* master plan, and any deviation from that plan invites scorn and ridicule from them.

There are a handful of semi-regular posters who are very scarce when things are going well, but are the first to pile on after a tough loss. Human nature, I guess.

If I remember correctly, it was CharlieJohnson who made the "worst thing that could ever happen" assertion, not 10 percent Nate.

That would be my assumption. That being said, if Yadi does NOT play tonight and Rizzo DOES:

I would rather see Grichuk sent down myself. The reason is you lose Pie as a pinch hitter off the bench. If Cruz stays you could use A.J instead of him just sitting.

GO CARDS!
