Really looking forward to these games.  I believe this is our last west coast trip of the year with the exception of the final three games of the year at Arizona.  I always enjoy staying up late at night and watching west coast games, and its alot better when its the Redbirds that are playing.  Retirement is 8 months and 3 days away so i will get to stay up late alot during the 2015 season!

Looking forward to another good outing from Lynn, and hopefully we can win at least two of these three.  Milwaukee has a tough three game series this week in Tampa Bay, starting tonight.

Cheers to the two worst offenses in baseball!

A bit of action in San Diego ahead of this series. Quentin is headed to the DL and Gyorko is returning from it. Kennedy is hurt and will miss his start tonight, a newsworthy move but not one that makes any difference on this series.

Quentin has been horrific this year (worse than Craig!) although he had hit St. Louis well in the past. Gyorko has also been an enormous failure this year although he too has nice career numbers against St. Louis.

Schedule didn't do the Padres any favor. St. Louis was in town before the Padres.

Will be in the house for this one and hopefully the rest of the series.

This series might see 5-6 total runs scored.

If I were playing this series on my computer game, I would set the "zoom" to run through the first five, thinking it's probably going to be 0-0 or 1-0, perhaps 1-1 at that point, and then actively manage the game from there.

Maybe just for this series they should treat them as extra innings. Pretend it's scoreless after 9 and go from there. biggrin

Tampa Bay does us a favor by downing the Brewers 2-1 last night.

Reds continue to slide, losing in 15 innings to Arizona by a 2-1 score also.

Pirates down the Giants, believe it was a 5-0 final?

I was thinking the same thing as far as Craig continuing to drop down in the order. He might be still feeling the effects of the ankle problem of last year.

It's to the point where maybe you just start platooning, playing Oscar against righties and Craig against lefties.  See if one of them can get going, although it would be tough for Craig since lefties are not as common.

Cards give Padres a run in bottom of the 3rd with Wong's throwing error.

Wong atones somewhat with a sac fly to tie it up.

He did not care as it's his last inning and the ump knew that too.
