No comments yet?

Well, now, i think we need to win this one tonight.  Hopefully Jaime can neutralize Utley and Howard, they have been on a roll lately.  We dont need to go on a losing streak after having a good stretch against Toronto, Tampa Bay, Washington, and the Mets.

Like i always say, we are one winning streak from being right there with Milwaukee.  We are also one losing streak from looking up at not only Milwaukee but also Pittsburgh and Cincinnati.  I think this NL Central might be a dogfight to the very end amongst four teams this year.

p.s. by the way, how's the weather in downtown St. Louis look for the game tonight?

Doesn't look like rain is going to be an issue, at least not early on.  Sun is shining as Dan and Tim start the broadcast.

Reds jump on top of Toronto with 6 runs in the 2nd, leading 6-0.  Cubs down the Pirates 6-3.  Milwaukee still on the road out west - sort of - at Colorado.

Yep, Map, you are correct.  Sun was shining when they taped the pre-game comments though so I guess I was premature.

Also premature on the Reds and Toronto.  Reds got 8 runs in the 2nd but the Blue Jays have came back to make it 8-3.

I don't like to be premature.  I wont watch Barnaby Jones prematurely tonight although I did light up a cigar somewhat prematurely tonight but I can have another one while I watch Barnaby.

You have to have better out of the 3 spot....you just have to.  GIDP on a 3-0 count, jeez.  We need to move someone else, anyone, into our 3 spot.

Nice to get in front. Glad Holliday proved me wrong, at least for that AB.

Great job by Holli Muscling that ball and getting us the first run. I like when he swings hard like that. Would like to see him get mad and take it out on the baseball, does he even get mad? With Craig in a funk, Yadi struggling and Peralta unable to get a hit with anyone in scoring position we need our Holliday, we need the old Blade Runner. I suspect this line up hinges on him this year even more and could catch fire along with him.

GO CARDS!
