Let's start rewarding Wacha with some wins. How can a guy have a sub 3 ERA and only 4 wins except when he gets no run support?

How?  That's easy, just look at the lineup for tonight.  Grichuk, Peralta, Jay, Bourjos and Ellis in the lineup at the same time.  That's five dead spots.  If he wins he'll have to throw a shutout.

Ha, ha, I'd rather take a flyer on Peralta and his 10 homers in the clean up spot that Craig. Ellis has been swinging the bat better as of late. I will say that Grichuk probably needs to make some noise tonight or he may be headed back to mempho.

Hey, that means 4 of our 9 hitters are hitting over .250 instead of 3.

(Sort of offset by having 2 sub-Mendoza line guys in there.)

These bad innings are happening too often. Some bad defense hurt Wacha, and now he's falling apart by not throwing strikes.

What a train wreck the 4th turned out to be.  It started in the top half, Cards up 3-0, when Grichuk doesn't get the run home from 3rd with one out (I imagine he's got a trip back to Memphis in the not so distant future).  Then they get a couple of bloopers off Wacha, who then proceeds to blow up and allow the worst team in MLB to take a 4-3 lead.  Still a lot BB to be played tonight, but just when you think we're turning the corner.....

Grichuk needs to be sent down, he so over matched right now it is doing him NO good to be in the majors.

Well this looks like a blown opportunity. Offense hasn't done much in Tampa.

Hopefully we can go 6-4 in the home stretch and then 4-3 against the Rockies and Dodgers to close the month around 5 over .500.

The great thing about the Cardinals bullpen is that they always keep the game close...no wait taht's some other team.
