Kiley--Looking for a knee-jerk response:  "Michael Chavis will be ther first MLB allstar from the class of 2014."  (He's the favorite/choice of one of the color people on XM.)

OK, Kiley, you hooked me into checking every couple of hours for the "surprise coming later today" bait. Any chance we get the news today? excited

I think he is preparing to post his final mock this morning. Maybe there is something else, too. Not sure.

No kidding, CTE! I haven't slept a wink all night waiting for Kiley's surprise. It's been 14 hours now.....checking this thread every 10 minutes....then coming away empty-handed....wondering if Kiley could be vacationing in China or somewhere far away where the clocks are all out of whack.....worried for his safety....could that Taliban have nabbed him?.....maybe that's why his post is late? The only thing I can say is that if he is indeed safe and sound, then his surprise had better be a dandy! With Kiley being the author, how could it not be. It's game on, Kiley.....lay it on us.

In his final mock (free), Kiley has Blandino and Adams to the Cardinals.

I think Schwarber just might be there for the Cards to scoop up.

Anybody else think the Cubs reached for him at 1.4?  I saw alot of mock drafts of him avail for the Cards at the end of the first?

By the way, for those interested, Kiley is keeping his Draft Board updated as picks are made.

Thoughts on Jacob Gatewood lasting till St Louis picks? High school middle infielder with power. I'm hoping!

I really don't get the Flaherty pick.....

Do they think they can sign him cheap?
Do they think his upside is that high? (nothing I've read suggests that)
Burdi could have been a very solid BP piece in 2015 at the latest....
Gatewood could have been that up and coming power prospect (for those of us that realize you can't hit .330 w/ RISP every year and your team needs some power) that we can be excited about....

Why not one Mo!!!   I don't get it, but at the same time, I hope I'm very wrong about this.

Flaherty is a HS with very good mechanics and a good feel for pitching.  Not going to throw 96 or anything but will be a very effective pitcher.  Think Jeremy Hellickson.

That's a really good comp. Flaherty can show immediate improvement with consistent work on the mound. If he signs with the Cardinals, which I think will happen. This guy could be a steal.
