Kaminsky last pitched on the 22nd for Peoria, looks like he got skipped this turn thru the rotation. Did I miss any news on why?

Unless he is pulled from his next start, scheduled on Monday, I am not worrying about it.

O'Neill sent to Memphis in the Taveras corresponding move. Guessing Starlin Rodriguez gets the chance back at Springfield, or even Charlie Tilson or Breyvic Valera perhaps if they want more versatility?

Brian, did you let the DSL season sneak up on us without warning or do I need to start reading the DFR's?

The Cardinals did not make their final cuts until yesterday. I just got the roster today and am posting the DSL season preview this evening (for subscribers).

The DSL daily results will be included in the Minor League Notebooks each morning starting tomorrow (Sunday).

Free Chris Perry (from Peoria).

Undoubtedly the pitcher of the month.  Maybe as good a month as any pitcher has had in recent memory.

Not a high pick -17th round - but led the nation in K's per 9 his last year in college.

Any first hand reports?

Not exactly much of a first-hand report but from a source they he say works in the 94-95 mph range with a good breaking ball that lacks consistency. The source also said Perry has good movement on his fastball and has excellent command. I have read that Future Redbirds will feature a player profile on him sometime after the draft.

Springfield lost big tonight 9-1 but Jacob Wilson again homered. His second in as many nights. Starting to become a real prospect to watch in the box scores every night and read this praise he got from Shildt in this article.

Next time I go I'll watch for him.  If I'm not mistaken he's one of the few relievers that they use consistently.  Will let ya know what I see when I watch him next.
