Could this be your opening day lineup (minus Molina)? Looks like Adams and Wong will get some work against a lefty.

That's it. And you really have to hand it to this young Marlin hurler we are seeing today as he's had a real nice spring. I wonder if my PBP partner is nipping at the bud to call a little action with me today?

Id like to see cruz step it up this year, it would be great to be able to give yadi 5-6 more days off to rest his legs. Besides the obvious fact that hes aging like we all do, I saw a stat recently (seems almost obvious when you think about it) that molinas slg #s deteriorate in almost direct correlation to the amount of consecutive starts he has behind the plate.

I will call the PBP with you today, Pugs, but then I am done.  I have other things I do during regular season games so I won't have the time to do PBP then.  Maybe occasionally if the notion strikes me, but don't count on me.

Do you want to do Cards or Marlins?

Sounds like a plan Jan. I will opt to give the Cards to the better looking half of our soon-to-be busted PBP combo. You can step in at any game you like as our guest color analyst this regular season, Crdswmn.

Haven't been paying much attention to ST this year. Can anyone catch me up on how all the new guys are doing? I watched the game on ESPN on Tuesday. Seems Carp is doing well at 3B.

Wonder who will be making more "guest appearances" this season - CW or McCarver? ;-)

Top of 1       Wacha

Yelich- Grounds the 2-2 Wacha offering right out to Wong at 2nd...over to Adams at first and we're off and running in this...our last exhibition game in Florida in 2014.

Lucas- Grounds a single out to Craig in right.

Passed ball sends Lucas to 2nd
Stanton- Whiffs on a dandy change that left Stanton dazed and confused.

Jones- Caught gazing on one on the outside corner to retire the side.

Or possibly JMo????  As an ex-broadcaster, you sure would be a welcone addition to pop in the booth occasionally.

Salty- Shoots a hot shot grounder that under normal conditions would be a hit to RF.....but not with the St. Louie shift in play as Carpenter fields it and easilt throws him out at 1st.

Dietrich- Strikes out swinging.

Ozuna- Strikes out swinging and this simply isn't fair. If Wacha doesn't watch it MLB is going to enact a new rule when Wacha is pitching. Maybe have the grounds crew come on out in between innings and set the rubber back a few feet? Something.

Question:  Why in blazes does Dietrich need a half pound of eye black on when he's wearing that big face mask?

Top of 3

McGehee- He drills one about 10 feet fair off the line in left and it's going to the wall.....Holliday retrieves it and fires it back in, but Casey has himself a leadoff double.

Hand- Sacrifices McGehee over to 3rd

Yelich- Hits it on the ground to the drawn in Adams at 1st....and Matt has McGehee hung out to dry between 3rd and home!....Adams chases the runner all the way back near 3rd where he flips it to MCarp and he''ll apply the tag as Yelich takes up residence at 2nd.

Lucas- Grounds out 6-3 to retire the side.

Top of 4

Stanton- Hits it high in the air to shallow left...Holliday comes in as Peralta drifts back and it's the Redbird SS making the catch a few feet in front of Holliday for the out.

Jones- Strikes out swinging

Salty- Hits it in the air out to Holliday in left and he has it to retire the side here in the Marlin 4th.
