Looks like no Cards game again tomorrow as I have a 2p(CST) luncheon to attend on Friday. Rumor had it from both Fort Meyers and Kissimmee today, via reliable sources, that today's Cards-Twins game was cancelled not so much by the inclement weather, but more so by a Crdswmn-Pugs absent PBP booth.

Since we have to field two teams Friday it would be nice if Oscar would

A)  give it a try and see if he feels confident about the ankle, or

B)  grow a pair and get his arse out there

Depending on how you feel about it.

Option B is something Oscar's father needs to discuss with him. Anyone seen him down there in Florida?

I guess he grew a pair! He's playing in the other game.

Ramsey getting far too much action in LF. Three Miami doubles in that direction against Lynn, who seems to be getting ahead in the count, but not putting them away.

Re: Spring training game #7 - Cards (ss) vs. Marlins – Fri 3/7

These split squad games got me thinking and I did a two team draft of all the Cards players.

Pretty fun and really even. I got both teams to be around $60M in payroll too.

One has Jay, Ellis, Holliday, Adams, Molina, Piscotty, G. Garcia, Descalso.

(Big hit at 3B and SS, but they are the big winners at CA)

The other has O'Neill, Wong, Carpenter, Craig, Taveras, Peralta, Bourjos, Cruz

(Big hit in LF and CA here)

The first team went young on the rotation with Miller, Lynn, Kelly, Rosenthal, and Martinez.

The second team got 2nd pick and got Wainwright, followed by Wacha, Garcia, Siegrist, and Cooney.

(This team also picked up Lyons and Maness for the bullpen in case Garcia or Siegrist can't hack it)

I had to pick up an FA at the end of each bullpen as the pickings get scarce pretty quickly after Neshek, Bulter, and Freeman.

I honestly think both of these teams would be solid ML teams. Depth would obviously be an issue, haha. I split the bench too with Grichuk, Pham, Butler, and Ramsey providing good OF depth. Kozma is on Garcia's team too.
