Hopefully Miller can keep his pitch count reasonable and give the team 7 innings.

In MLB this year, only Clayton Kershaw (1572) has thrown more fastballs than Miller (1529).

Gomez is still hurt, but resumed baseball activities this weekend and apparently had a great day today. Brewers fans seem optimistic that he will be back for the Cardinals series.

The Pirates start a west coast trip tonight in San Diego.  Then they head up north to play the Giants.  As we just saw with the Reds these west coast trips can be tough.  Hopefully the Padres and Giants will make it rough on the Pirates.  The DBacks are fighting for their playoff hopes the next four nights in Cincinnati also.

We definitely need to win two of three in County Stadium.

That's interesting. I would have guessed Lynn before Miller.

Without Gomez and Braun thre Brewers are the worst team in the Central.

Craig needs a couple of days off. His bat looks slow and he is striking out at a higher rate.

I can get used to Wong playing everyday with righties on the mound.

Estrada is nothing special.  Let's take him down early.

I haven't seen Wong yet, so I'm looking forward to it. I think he is still looking for his first hit.

I'd like to see Miller make some progress toward more efficient innings. Hopefully his FB will be under command so he can get ahead and employ secondary pitches a bit more.

True.

But the Reds just had trouble with them.  They just split the four game series with the Reds so we better not take them lightly.

Got to watch for Segura. He's an exciting player with tremendous tools.

Wong showed some good prowess wi the glove but has yet to show much with the bat. Stung the ball couple times with the bat yesterday afternoon in Chicago. Defensively he's showed to he smooth with very quick and sure hands. Beautiful pivot on the double play. We'll have to see more to moment on range.

Thing to know about Wong is he likes attacking the first pitch with aggressiveness at the plate.
