Would've been better for a Wainwright/Kershaw match-up. Still a nice pitching match-up. Though, on MLB.com they have the probable starter for the Dodgers listed as "TBA".

I'm not suggesting this has anything to do with the change, but the last time Wainwright/Kershaw were matched up, Kershaw got his butt whupped.

Yep, that was the game Kershaw lost it in the 4th or 5th inning due to fatigue with hot and humid weather of STL. Hope the same happens Tuesday.

Joe Kelly has looked good his last two times out. Dodgers may be in for a surprise. I also hope that bragging on Joe doesn't jinx him!

The Dodgers down the Cubs today at Wrigley (see, I got that one right) by the score of 1-0.  They come to Busch super hot on the road.  Hope we can keep the offense rolling and do well this series.

Both of our co-aces have 13 wins.

I think this is Westbrook's stats.

If I'm not mistaken, the Dodgers recently altered their rotation to get Greinke a start tonight. Something I wish Matheny would have done to make sure Westbrook didn't pitch at PNC, but that's another discussion. The Dodgers picked this matchup and given ZG's history against St. Louis I understand why.

Anyway, the Dodgers are by far the hottest team in baseball, going 23-6 in July and August. They also haven't lost on the road in a month. And, they haven't been scored on in 23 consecutive innings. Albeit that was against the Cubs, but still, impressive.

Like Pittsburgh, I'm hearing out of LA that the players really want to come and beat the Cardinals to announce their arrival as serious contenders. We're turning out to be a bit of a proving ground for opponents trying to break out as the team to beat.

The Dodgers "trades" and FA bucks have netted them:

Crawford

Gonzalez

Rameriz

Puig

Greinke

Ryu

(Beckett)

That's pretty startling.

ESPN has already declared them the Supreme Rulers  of the NL, what more do they want?   Every game ESPN is telecasting this week is a Dodgers game.  Before long we will be told the Dodgers have ended world hunger and cured cancer.  I doubt anyone thinks they are not serious contenders.

Sounding like a broken record I know, but I sure want Descalso in that starting lineup at SS.  With each passing day, he's showing he deserves the chance to be our regular SS.  If Mike wants to start Kozma against lefties, that's okay I guess, but not really warranted; Daniel stands in there pretty good agains LH.  It would be a great irony if it turns out we've had the SS we wanted to trade for and the fifth starter (Kelly) all along.

We can cure that with a serious beatdown.  I predict we rip em a new one and send em home with their tail between their legs.

A reminder, tonight's game will be carried by both ESPN and FSW in the St. Louis market.  Wednesday I believe is only ESPN.  Hopefully, reality will have set in in the booth by then.

Just because ESPN hero worships Puig and already has 2013 World Series shirts printed for the Dodgers doesn't mean the players feel the same way. Sometimes players want to prove things to themselves. The road to the World Series has gone through St. Louis so many times in the last two decades and opposing players are very aware of that.

Kozma is FAR better defensively than Descalso. You need strong defense up the middle to win. Descalso is a good utility man but his weakest position as a defender is SS.

How does MLB.tv handle tonight's game? Will they black it out for all markets since ESPN is carrying the game even though FSMW is carrying it too?

FSMW is also telecasting the Wed. game.

Are you saying they still don't believe their media label as the Gods of Baseball?
