Need to win this one tonight.  The Reds and Pirates are hitting bad streaks and we need to make some hay.  We'll eventually hit a slump and so we need to gain while we can.

Looking forward to a good outing from Miller.  If there's a team he can dominate he's got them tonight.

And i still say we are going to have our hands full this weekend in Chicago.  Its about like the World Series for them.  This four game series could be very tough.

The Cubs are playing very well right now. They are on a 9-4 run, including an active 4 game winning streak against PIT/CHW/LAA, and are getting excellent production from their starting rotation. In addition, Soriano is hitting .370/.386/.944/1.330 with 8 HR and 17 RBI in his last 13 games. Those four games at Wrigley are not going to be easy.

Anyway, back to Houston tonight, I wonder if Yadi will play...

I don't see the Reds pulling one out playing away at County Stadium tonight. The Pirates, though, will be home in the friendly confines of Three Rivers Stadium, where they will enjoy the typical home cooking.

I actually think the exact opposite. I dont think the reds will get swept, and I think the pirates have started their decline...

Would like to see Johnson and Adams in the lineup tonight.

I was just being sarcastic with regards to the stadium names.

Molina is out but Cruz is the starter.

You got 1 of 2. Adams is at first therefore Craig is in right and Beltran is sitting out.

The Chubbs are going to face some pretty good pitching when the Cards roll into Wrigley. Westbrook seemed to right himself the last time out. Lynn and Waino will be out to finish first half on a high note. What the Cardinals need to do in Chicago is swing the bats and put some crooked numbers up on the scoreboard.

I'll be in section 511 in the RF bleachers, so I was hoping for Beltran (hitting left handed) and Adams.

Re: 2013 MLB game 89 thread: Astros at Cards: Wed 7/10

Miller hasn't look right in his past several starts and it continues tonight. You can till the time he's taking between pitches his tempo is different not working near as fast he did in the first two months when he was just challenging hitter after hitter not throwing with the same poise he's laboring more thus it's making his pitch jet up and his control and command which is normally pinpoint is way off. Guessing it has to do with the heavy major-league workload he's having to handle for the first time in his career let's hope the All Star Game will re-energize him.
