After Westbrook's last outing and Turner with a 1.76-this has disaster written all over it.

Especially after Turner coming off his first career complete game last time out but he will certainly have some major adrenaline running pitching in front of former against home town team.

Chris Carpenter (shoulder, back) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Friday at Busch Stadium.

If the workout goes well, Carpenter could be cleared to face live batters in a simulated game. If it doesn't go all that well, he will be asked to continue throwing bullpen sessions. The veteran right-hander is aiming to contribute at some point this season, but there's no telling when he might feel 100 percent healthy.

That's a solid lineup and everyone one of them will be back next season.

So can someone explain the umpire ruling on the Turner bunt - Turner tagged out so why was the runner called out at third on a force with no tag - was the ruling that when he left the field and returned to the dug out that he abandoned the base thus he is out? Which you can not blame the runner since the 3rd base umpire called him out.

Not since the game started - another twist? Sounded like he was headed to Houston then.

Rosenthal 11 pitches - no balls - 3 ks - had not pitched much lately - not since Sunday - nice to seem him stay sharp thru the downtime.

Hope no one tells Craig that there is no such thing as a clutch hitter.
