Pierzynski and Cruz two run dongs for the Rangers.  4-2 Texas after four innings.

In the desert, Jay Bruce hits his 2nd dong of the game in the top of the 9th.  This one was a two run dong and the Reds lead the D'Backs 3-2 heading to the last of the 9th.

Bottom of the 9th. Reds leading D-backs 3-2. Runners on 1rst and 2nd for D-backs. No outs so far.

Arnold blows it for the Reds.  D'Backs score two on a single, two walks, and another single.

4-3 D'Backs the final.

This is unsettling - getting beaten up at home. Granted, this is probably the toughest competition we've faced all year, but that's all the more reason to get up for this series. This is humbling.

well we just suck against lefties. You wouldn't think with beltran as a switch, and all our big bats from the right side. Teams might want to bring up their AA or AAA lefties just for us. Frustrating to watch. Our team batting avg is like 70 pts lower against lefties.

Siegrist finally showing off that excellent sweeping slider that he worked so hard on to improve during the off-season.

On a positive note Blazek looks outstanding.

Speaking of breaking balls. I didn't know that Blazek's was that good!

Look at how the rotation set up for the series.

Not the recipe for success if you want to win a series considering rookie pitchers are usually erratic and inconsistant. I know Miller is having a fine season but let's be realistic. He's not going to keep this up. More the reason to aquire an innings eating starter.

You should have seen him pitch in relief this season in the minors. That downer curve is a devastating MLB pitch
