just turned the game on, what is up with lohse?  he looks pissed off, throwing up and in on gast, barking at oquendo as he walks off the field.

Now he has something to say to Yadi as he steps in the box.  Does he not remember what Yadi thought about Brandon Phillips and his antics at the plate a few yrs ago?

Back the hell up kyle and quit acting like a weirdo

and it continues into the 5th.  lohse is making a fool out of himself.  clearing barking at yadi as he comes up to bat, doesn't even have the bat in a hitting position when gast throws the 1st pitch for a strike, weakly swings at the next 2 pitches, and then stares into the cards' dugout.

looks like a 6 year old kid in the middle of a "war" that no one but him knows is going on.

Yea no one seems to understand what is going on, and rightfully so.  Kyle was always such an easy going guy that kept his mouth shut and did things the right way here, why is he acting like a fool now?  Braun share some juice with him or something?  Little roid rage?

Whew! When the bases were loaded with Brewers with no outs, I was praying that we had not awoke a Sleeping Midget by getting Lohse and his Brew Crew angry.

Ha sleeping midget.  Yea what a huge situation that was with one of the game's best hitters at the plate, tremendous job by Seth to induce the ground ball and wonderful job by freese and company to turn that DP.  Looks like its gonna be a happy flight out to san diego!

Been busy moving back to Houston. I love the fresh air and farms of southern Illinois but man is it boring. I figure it is how people lived 100 years ago. When you wake in the morning and the most important thing on your mind is whether or not the birds ate all the seeds you put out, well its time to go. Sooooooo happy to be back home.

GO CARDS!

Chief did not have his best stuff, but still got the job done.. With how last nights game went I figured today would be a really tough game to win... Nice way to end excellent homestand..

per dgoold, apparently lohse was mad at gast offering a bunt then pulling back to swing rolleyes

Lost some respect for him, not exactly for being mad, if you're mad hit the guy and be done with it. But the fact that he then pouted like a baby for the next inning or so makes him look, well, like a brewer...you've made it kyle!!

Had business priorities today and wasn't able to watch today's game against the Brewers. How did Gast look? By looking at his line could till he sailed through the first five innings and ran out gas in the 6th again. Also how did Maness in finishing off the 6th and 7th and Rosenthal setting up? Always like to hear about them.

Re: 2013 MLB game 43 thread: Brewers at Cards: Sun 5/19

gast looked really good again thru the 1st 5.  seemed to tire a bit in the 6th.  was very impressed with how he handled the at bat facing lohse after lohse made a fool of himself.  he did just what he should have, threw strikes and struck him out.  really made lohse look like a clown.  gast seems very relaxed on the mound.

maness gave up a bunch of cheap little hits, well the same kind of hits we got in the 4th...lol.  he hung a pitch against segura right before the dp to braun that should have been crushed.  was not his best outing.

rosenthal looked great and was really bringing the heat, as usual.

Re: 2013 MLB game 43 thread: Brewers at Cards: Sun 5/19

Lohse (1-5) called baseball a ''stupid game'' and bemoaned a ''10-hopper up the middle'' by Yadier Molina that drove in the Cardinals' first run. He exchanged words with St. Louis third base coach Jose Oquendo during the fourth, too.

''They know what I had to say,'' Lohse said. Whether the matter was resolved after a chat with Molina, Lohse said, ''We'll see.''

Mujica and Rosenthal have both worked three days in a row and four of the last five.  I'd think they will have Monday off.  Gonna be a tough game with the trip to the coast.
