If someone could please respond to my question NOW that would be great I'm not. I think the vets on the ML squad, and the manager, will get through to him.

Consistent effort offense, baserunning and defense will allow him to stay in the big leagues and gain him more cash.
I suspect he will figure that out.

I agree 100%, however terry francona said in an interview the other day that he thinks manny ramirez was the greatest hitter to ever play the game based on pure God given talent. The difference between him and the ultra elite its speculated was the fact that he didnt work to his potential and simply didnt care as much...While I think he has (obviously) the raw talent, I dont want another colby...

Wonder how our old buddy Tyler Greene will do with the Astros in the AL this year? I suspect we might see a jump in his numbers and some more than adequate defense as well.

Adams walks, Robinson doubles and both score on a Descalso single up the middle. Cards 2-0 top 2nd.

After Kelly allowed just a pair of walks over two innings, John Gast gave up a homer in the third and a single run in the fourth. Tied 2-2 in the fifth.

Descalso and Johnson reach base on a walk and a Wallace throwing error. Chambers sac bunts them both into scoring position. Kozma brings them home with a double over the left-fielder's head. 4-2 Cards.
Jay single to right puts runners at corners for Taveras, who got an RBI on an infield chopper. His speed avoided a double play that would have ended the inning. He definitely hustled down the line. 5-2 middle of 5th.
Tyler Greene leads off home 5th with a double into the left field corner off Motte. With two outs, Carter crushed a long home run to left to bring the Stros to within one run. 5-4. Motte threw 25 pitches to get the three outs.

Chambers launches a three-run HR to right. Score now 8-4 Cards. All three of these runs and five total for the Cards today are unearned.

Scrabble struggling in B6th. Bases loaded with one out, but he gets a 6-3. Kozma's throw is high, but Adams leaps to make the catch and tag out the runner.
Interesting the Astros announcers were chiding Tony Cruz for holding up his hand to signal time between pitches while at bat when Brett Wallace does the exact same thing.

Christian in CF. Cruz to 1B. Jackson at SS. Kozma to 3B. Perez catching.
A double and two singles against Jorge Rondon gives the Astros a run back in the home 7th. Another single loads the sacks with one out. Sac fly cuts lead to 8-6.

Great catches by Robinson in RF and Chambers in LF at/near wall in home 8th. Bad news was both balls were hit hard off Eduardo Sanchez.

Victor Marte is the seventh pitcher for StL today and gave up a leadoff HR to Gerald Laird's little brother Brandon in the B9th. 8-7 StL.
A single followed by a Jackson throwing error on a potential game-ending DP has the tying run at 3B with one out. Game tied on a Marte wild pitch. Potential winning run at 2B. Jackson drops grounder, but runner overruns third and is tagged out by Kozma. Game ends in 8-8 tie.

Just dropped in to ask, "Why is Victor Marte still pitching on my team?"

Intriguing to see that Sanchez hasn't walked a single batter in three innings pitched this spring. Hope he can remain consistent. With his type of stuff out of the bullpen he could be a vital piece when on.

crdswmn wrote: Just dropped in to ask, "Why is Victor Marte still pitching on my team?" Don't know. Not going to be much of a necessity in Memphis with all the RH relief prospects projected to start there. Could find himself cut at the end of spring. For what it's worth Marte was acquired for literally nothing and has actually pitched alright for what it took to acquire him.
