Brewer's Mat Gamel out for year with re-tear of his ACL
Blog is up on #Brewers Mat Gamel by @Todd_Rosiak. He is out for year with repeat ACL tear. Brewers say they will look internally first.
Wonder if there is a trade somewhere with the Brewers for Matt Adams? Wonder what they have that we might want.

Re: Brewer's Mat Gamel out for year with re-tear of his ACL
Corey Hart is the Brewers starting first baseman. He was all of last year, he started more games at first than any other Brewer. Corey Hart will be back around May 1st. I wouldn't imagine there is enough desperation on Milwaukee's part to make a trade for a month long first base replacement.

I suspect if we were to trade Adams, it would be to an AL club.

The Brewers have spent more time in the AL than the NL, JMo. Maybe the AL mentality still exists?

Wait a minute! I'm saving Adams for my blockbuster trade with the Rangers for Profar.

Even though this happened to a division rival I still feel bad. It's a bummer to lose a guy - even more a starter - during spring training. That being said, if Hart wasn't hurt this wouldn't feel like such a big loss to the Brewers. Gamel comes with a lot of hype but has for the most part been a non-factor.

Re: Brewer's Mat Gamel out for year with re-tear of his ACL
Gamel going down could actually be for the better. He never hit for more than .250 last year and he wasn't even that good at covering 1st. Hunter Morris, Aramis Ramirez, or Alex Gonzalez could easily be an upgrade at 1B on both sides of the ball while Hart is out.
so yeah, Braun for Adams may not happen.
Besides, you guys wouldn't want Braun. You take issue with players on PED's.
