Several of the names are repeaters but several others are new. A-Rod has insisted he has been clean since 2003.

I would add to that: Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela.

I didn't put much thought into that but yes.

It is far too easy to connect the dots between Tony Bosch, the University of Miami, Ryan Braun, and a positive test for HGH. Turns out Braun is just one of many Canes players to test positive. He's just the one that got off on a technicality, likely because Papa Selig didn't want his own MVP and hometown hero with egg on his face.

"Doctor" Bosch sets his clinic up right next to the University, works through the strength and conditioning coach Jimmy Goins, and goes nearly a decade peddling steroids to Canes baseball. If you had any belief that Braun was innocent it must be disappearing once again. I'm sure Ryan is praying his name doesn't show up on a paper trail like A-Rod's did.

I don't think it's fair to put them all in. Remember Jay went to Miami.

It would be interesting to see how many of these border or southern states players test positive if that indeed the way it was done. People talk about the advantages players in warm weather states have to the northern kids especially in baseball. Might this be one of the reasons why?

For instance in San Diego if you look mexican you might not have a hard time getting across the border to that wonderful little bordertown. Naturally you may have trouble getting back without the proper documentation but it's a free for all down in TJ.

Matt Holliday told MLB Network Radio today that he wants harsher PED penalties. One-year ban for first-timers. Second time, "lifetime" suspension, but eligibility for reinstatement after two years.

So did Ryan Jackson. I left their names off my post because I didn't want to unfairly attach their names to a discussion about HGH when I didn't feel it was warranted.

I only mention Braun's association to the matter because he was actually tested positive, and the fact that the Hurricanes' program was so involved only makes me further doubt his alleged innocence.

I tweeted Strauss that and he said the same thing as you about Jay..  My retort was only Braun has tested positive..

Cant MLB suspend players if evidence shows PED without a failed test?   Think of what that would do to Melky.  He would lose 100 game this season..

You'd have to ask Walton about that as I don't know if the whole guilt by association thing would fly or the MLBPA would let it.

But hey some of the Black Sox were guilty by association and suspended for life. So anything is possible..

My guess is we will be finding this out in the next year or so. MLB has got to do something about this ASAP. They cannot keep taking hit after hit like this w/o long term negative effects.
